ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Darren Sammy will lead a strong West Indies team to this year’s International Cricket Council’s World T20 Tournament in India.

I am a strong supporter of Sammy and personally I feel he was treated unfairly by WICB. That being said, I am even more disappointed in Sammy and others for not playing in at list one game in our regional competition four day competition and Nagico 50 overs. I understandthey are professionals and young, and they have to make their money, but they should not forget their roots. The standard of our completion has been very low the past few years, and that is mainly because of their absence. Even if we were to win the T20 competition this year, I will not enjoy it as much as I would have if our stars were playing a few games in our regional competition. The bound is missing!
I like the team but I feel Calos Brathwaite should have been there instead of Taylor or Benn
