Secondary schools netball competition kicks off today

The Secondary Schools Netball championships begin today, Wednesday from 3:00 pm at the Dominica Grammar School.

The event is organized by the Sports Division in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

A Ball-O-Rama between the Netball champion houses of the various participating Secondary Schools will form part of the opening activities.

On parade will be St. Joan’s’ House from the Convent High School, Skinner House of the Dominica Grammar School, Rebecca Peter House of the Portsmouth Secondary School, Georgina House of the St. Martin Secondary school, Barret House of the Wesley High School, George House of the Castle Bruce Secondary school, Balata House of the Pierre Charles Secondary School and Heron House of the North East comprehensive school.

The teams will be addressed by Senior Sports OfficerYehudi John and Netball Coordinator, Alice Jno. Jules.

The defending U-20 champions are the Dominica State College; the Under-16 Cocoa Town café Portsmouth Secondary and the Under-14 1st First choice delight of the Portsmouth Secondary School.

    Go Sports Division….. GO. You seem to be on track with your sporting programs and development for the schools….. I hope the Associations can back you up……..
