Fans of Chris Gayle, who were expecting to see them do battle against New Zealand in Dominica, are left disappointed since the two have not been named to the Windies’ squad for the upcoming matches.
The Windsor Park Sports stadium in Roseau will host two T20s as the West Indies take on the visiting New Zealand team on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6.
Gayle and was missing from the Windies’ 13-man squad which was named on Sunday.
According to the West Indies Cricket Board, Gayle is being rested for the series.

New inclusiong to the squad include allrounder Christopher Barnwell and batsman Darren Bravo.

of course they resting him for series little country doe matter i wish we would stop support these ppl sometimes they looking down on us as though we too small for them
I vex u no
please stay home. i will watch and enjoy for you. Shane will also be giving support to the boys .
i didnt no shane was a t20 player…. it shows that u dont view cricket at all… boycott for what all u use to cry when all u wasnt getting games now all u calling for boycott smh
stupez is now i not going no gayle
how much is a ticket?
Those who follow cricket would know that Shane does not play T20, he plays test matches and Sunil T20. Gayle definitely needs to rest, he has not be performing to max. The squad is excellent and we are going to have good cricket in the Park. Cricket lovers come out to support Windies and enjoy the game!!!!
Are we that ignorant? Well I guess that’s not the sentiment of most Dominicans.
I think Shane has played his last match in Barbados he icannot make it without the ducra
Plus the man is not a T20 player
For all those posting comments about Shane not being part of the T20 team. Since when has Shane been a T20 player on the WIndies team? The man is a TEST match player. The man is NOT a T20 player.
Now this article makes sense,
now the story change, but the damage has already been done…. at least dno corrected the story, and its amazing how many of the readers are unaware of how windies cricket operates and were making noise for shane….
clearly those are the ones who go to cricket for the rum and the party lol….
Does dominica know that people from other places in the world read these comments? Most of these comments sound like it came from uneducated folks, so just because Shane is from dominica he must play? Since when does he play t20
What’s wrong with you people? Not because the man is from Dominica, should he be selected to play there! Shane has never been a T20 player, why the fuss now? Should the other islands boycott when their people are not on the team?
Let’s get over it and go support the team!
Shane is done, get over it ,he played his last game for windies in Barbados, he is done.
@Your Fan
Knowing our selectors, i would like to concur with you on this one. I can only hope that both you and me are wrong. NOt being able to bowl the DOOSRA, seem to have rendered him very ineffective.
shane never played t20 cricket internationally so y should he play in Dominica because he from Da, i more disapointed Gayle not playing than shane
Imagine that!!!! Two T20 games and NO Gayle in the team. Shame on West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). I think that’s two games WI going to lose.
What is the fuss all about? Shane Shillingford has never played T20 for the West Indies. If you follow Windies cricket you will know that he only plays test. Why would things change now jus because the game is in Dominica!
We need Shane in our country WI selectors that makes no sense
Good thing I doh buy ticket yet. That is fraze. Especially they do that
from my lens i honestly think shane is dusted and done..
if you listen to the coach’s sentiments after the Jamaica’s test match, folks should read between the lines, plus he didn’t bowl well in this present test match…
once a spinner cannot be consistent the windies panel will discard that player it’s a noted fact!!
and even saying allu contact wicb for shane exclusion ?
they must be laughing allu in the office in antigua all now….
shane not in west indies t20 team….
and now with his struggles in test cricket with no doosra he may soon fine his west indies career over…
If Dominicans go and watch cricket they doh have shame. In our own country they want to treat our ppl like dog? But is test they testing us to see if we will stand behind Shane.
Am with you,no Shane BOYCOTT,but dominicans do not stand behind their own,so lets see what happens,if Tony tell them to jump of a bridge the will, lets see if the show up for the match,Boycott bog time.Send out a message to the board of waste.
You all are idiots. What is wrong with you people? Does Shane has to play in all matches beings played in DA?
Well you had to inject politics in it. Ignorance is your last name. if you not preaching revolution you want boycotting. Shame on you people for not taking time to understand whats happening.
see what allu causing admin ? hear the comments ? from a guy that is not part of the west indies t20 line up ?
the same way chanderpaul is not on the t20 or odi line up….
geeezzzz
no shane in t20 well I out thank for coming but I eh going
You all will watch it on TV or listen to it on the radio? Still participating.
no shillingford no roach no gayle no bravo brothers no cricket for me
Boycott means not viewing it; not listening to it; not reading about it.
