The Dominica Amateur Athletics Association (DAAA) has selected 26 athletes and 5 officials to represent Dominica at the 43rd Carifta Games due to be held from April 19th – 21st, 2014 in Martinique.
To date this is the largest Carifta Team ever selected by the DAAA, a feat that is possible due to the close proximity of the host nation to Dominica.
The qualification has come through months of hard work, consistency at training and mainly athletes meeting the pre-set standard put together by the DAAA executive to help mitigate problematic situations.
The competitions of the DAAA and Sports Divisions as well as Carifta Trial Meeting held in Guadeloupe and Martinique were areas of great help towards the athletes meeting the criteria for selection.

The team is expected to leave Dominica on, or about the 17th April and return on April 22, 2014.
Although the Sports Division has offered some assistance in meeting some of the estimated budget for the team, negotiations continue with other possible sponsors to complete it.
Congrats to all those Who qualified this year…may God bless you all both in travel and in your individual events
good luck guys…go out there and do your best
What is the Dominica Olympic Committee’s contribution to the team’s participation in this meet? Or is it because the President and Secretary are not travelling with the team that they have abandoned them and left them on their own? When are the local Associations going to take a stand and get those two mercenaries out of office ?
Our sports continue to stagnate while individuals continue to prosper !!!!
GO JUDAH
Best of Luck Atheletes and Coaches.
