West Indies seam bowler, Krishmar Santokie, is promising ‘good cricket’ to Windies fans as the team take on New Zealand in two T20 matches, this weekend in Dominica.
The 29-year-old left-armer was a key member of the Windies team which reached the semi-finals of the ICC World T20 earlier this year – with his clever variations with the new ball.
“To the fans just look out for some good cricket from the team,” the told WICB media. “We have some good players … just look out for some good cricket and we are coming out to win.”
He said the West Indies team will be ‘playing positive.’
“We are not going to take anyone lightly because they (New Zealand) are a champion team,” he noted. “We just have to play positive. As a player you have to play positive and think positive.”
Santokie said he is bringing variation to the matches.
“What I bring to the table is variation,” he said. “In T20 that is the key regardless of what kind of pitch you play on wherever in the world, variation is the key. That is what I bring to the team and so far it is working so good.”
The matches will be played at Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
First ball on Saturday and Sunday is at 2:00 pm.
