PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa – West Indies captain Jason Holder praised his team after they secured a sensational one-wicket win over South Africa in the fourth One-Day International at St George’s Park, on Sunday.

Good bowling led by Holder with 4-53 and Sheldon Cottrell (2-39) on debut saw the home side limited to 262-8 off their 50 overs. Left-hander David Miller top scored with 130 not out to rescue his side from trouble at 76-4.

West Indies them made 266-9 off 48.3 overs to win with nine balls to spare. Andre Russell, who earlier in the day bowled well, made a superb 64 not out off just 40 balls, batting at Number 8. The 26-year-old ended the match with his fifth six of the innings to earn the Man of the Match award.

The run chase was set up by Marlon Samuels (68) and Darren Sammy (51) who added a crucial 93 for the sixth wicket after the visitors slipped to 72-5 in the 17th over.

The two teams will now travel to Pretoria on Monday ahead of the fifth and final ODI to be played at SuperSport Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Don’t put this rubbish West Indies team on DNO again. There is far more interesting sports report around the world to report on.

Don’t mind all the talk, we still like when the West Indies Cricket team wins. We just hope the administrators and the players will stop the “tous chaud – tous flam” mentality……….and win more regularly.

The West Indies Cricket team – Alas!! “Consistently inconsistent”. One day up in the clouds. The next twenty five days among the drags of international cricket. Willnot waste my time to watch or listen to them. Anyway when they do good – kudos to them. But that is all for now. Untill the board and players alike get serious about West Indies Cricket – it will the “same old ” on a different day. How can you handsomely reward somebody or group of individuals who placed you in a multi-million dollar debt? India wants their US 40 plus million dollars. Those responsible (board and players) continue to lavishly, unchecked enjoy what ever is left of the spoils of the WI Cricket. No wonder the players will do whatever it takes to play only T-20 Cricket. When it comes to Tests or the longer versions of the game they make themselves unavailable, fail to perform or boycott.

We back our boys come rain or shine – win or lose! They’ll be fine. We feel bad when they lose and feel very proud when they win!

Well done Windies!!! One more game to go and we can stand proud as we head to Australia to take the trophy home after 40 years!!! Jason Holder has done very well as Captain. He’s Skipper over guys who are more senior than him. Well done Clive Lloyd and the Selectors for putting your trust and confidence in Jason and the Team you’ve selected. Way to go Windies!!! Thanks DNO for the brilliant news!!!
