Windward Islands Volcanoes have included former West Indies captain, Darren Sammy, in its 14 man Regional Super 50 over one day team for the 2017 season.
Sammy has not played regional cricket for the Windwards in over three years, and that was used for the selection along with Keswick Williams, who made his debut for the West Indies this year.
The team will be led by Liam Sebastien with Andre Fletcher as his deputy.
The full squad reads:
Liam Sebastien
Andre Fletcher
Devon Smith
Tyronne Theophille
Johnson Charles
Kaveem Hodge
Sunil Ambris
Dareen Sammy
Kyle Mayers
Delorn Johnson
Audi Alexander
Shane Shillingford
Keswick Williams
Mervin Matthew
Leardership, Experience, The will and Heart to compete, is neeeded, in my opinion Sammy`s inclusion is an added impetus to the team. Good move, and looking good on paper. Now we looking forward to Big things. Cricket is a Big man`s Game.
I want liam to prove me worng this season that he does not merit a pick in this squad furthermore be its captain! He contributes meaningful very, very seldom so how did he make this squad!
looking like a nice squad.
