The Visual and Performing Arts (V.P.A) class of the St. Mary’s Primary School (S.M.P) visited the Cabrits National Park on Friday 12th December 2014.
Dr. Lennox Honychurch who is in charge of the Cabrits Renovation Project addressed the group which comprised students from grades 1 to 6 on one of Dominica’s most important historic sites.
Students took a heritage tour to view The Cabrits Garrison, Gun Display, Douglas Bay, U.S Connection, Cabrits Headland, Fort Shirley, Prince Rupert’s Bay, among others.
The trip has been organized to facilitate the completion of a V. P.A Christma s Project on the Cabrits Historical Site. The school views Visual and Performing Arts as an integral part of everyday living.
