BUSINESS BYTE: Digicel 4G arrives in Dominica

Digicel 4G BroadbandDigicel today announced the launch of its 4G data network which will see customers across Dominica enjoying a super-fast and reliable mobile data experience.

Just in time for the festive season, Digicel has introduced a whole host of new smartphones on the new 4G network, as well as a number of innovative data packages for consumer and corporate customers, starting from EC$2.50 for a Day Pass for prepaid customers which includes unlimited free access to popular social media applications such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Twitter.

Digicel customers can purchase a 4G-enabled handset at any one of the authorised dealer stores in Grandbay, Marigot, Portsmouth and Roseau.

Digicel Dominica Acting Country Manager, Vivek Sharma, said; “We continue to deliver the very best to our customers and, after eight years of delivering unbeatable value, we are thrilled to now be able to give customers faster mobile data speeds and open up access to social media on the go. The demand to be constantly connected at high speed is growing in Dominica as in the rest of the world and Digicel will continue helping more and more customers join the smartphone and data revolution”.

Digicel’s 4G Data users will be able to choose from a range of new and improved data plans designed to suit the needs of any and all users and pockets.

Prepaid customers signing up to a 1, 7 or 14 day data plan will now benefit from unlimited WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram which will not be pulled from their data purchased.”

    Great news! But when they say it’s lunched does that mean its activated right this moment because I have a plan and I don’t experience 4g speeds , so how does one access this?
