Digicel donates mobile phones to elderly organisations

President of the Dominica Council on Aging, Evander Joseph

Telecommunications Company Digicel has made another kind gesture for the second consecutive time to the Dominica Council on Aging (DCA), with the provision of seven mobile phones for their Annual National Citizens Game.

“Digicel is very pleased to be associated with the elderly in Dominica. We will continue to give support for the annual games and we hope to be in a position to continue to do so,” Digicel’s Marketing Manager Nathalie Walsh told the handing over ceremony this morning.

She encouraged the council to give support to the senior citizens in Dominica, adding that they play a very important role in the lives of our youth and elderly in Dominica.

Meantime President of the DCA Evander Joseph noted that the phones are very timely.

He said it has been difficult for members to communicate with each other, and the phones are essential, as preparations are in high gear for another sporting event.

Mobile phones will be delivered to the Jewel Senior Citizen of Sineku, Diamond Senor Citizen of Grand Fond, the Trail Blazers of Petit Soufriere and the St. Anthony’s Society on Aging and the Bloom Heart Senior Citizen of Capuchin. DCA members will also receive cell phones complements Digicel.

Even the elderly have to stay in touch with each other so that’s a really good and thoughtful initiative by Digicel, that’s why they will always be the Number 1 telecommunications provider!!! Expect More Get More!!!
