LIME Blackberry customers get free apps from RIM

LIME BlackBerry customers will get free premium apps (software applications) courtesy of BlackBerry Operators Research In Motion (RIM) as an expression of appreciation for their patience during the recent service disruptions.

RIM will be offering premium apps, worth  in excess of US $100, free of charge to subscribers over the coming weeks on BlackBerry® App World™ until December 31, 2011.*

“Our global network supports the communications needs of more than 70 million customers,” said RIM Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis. “We truly appreciate and value our relationship with our customers.  We’ve worked hard to earn their trust over the past 12 years, and we’re committed to providing the high standard of reliability they expect, today and in the future.”

“We always aim to exceed our customers’ expectations so when our partners at RIM experienced interruptions with BlackBerry service we supported them while they worked to get things back on track as soon as possible. Some customers were unfortunately inconvenienced but we are indeed happy that our customers will be rewarded for their patience and understanding. This is yet another example of superb partnership at work,” said Grace Silvera, Regional Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications.

The complete selection of premium apps will become available to download at BlackBerry App World over a period of four weeks beginning Wednesday, October 19th.  The selections over this period will include the following:

• SIMS 3 – Electronic Arts
• Bejeweled – Electronic Arts
• N.O.V.A. – Gameloft
• Texas Hold’em Poker 2 – Gameloft
• Bubble Bash 2 – Gameloft

• iSpeech Translator Pro – iSpeech.org
• Drive Safe.ly Enterprise – iSpeech.org
• Nobex Radio™ Premium – Nobex

RIM’s enterprise customers will also be offered one month of free Technical Support.  Current customers will be offered a complimentary one month extension of their existing Technical Support contract, and customers who do not currently have a Technical Support contract will be offered a one month trial of RIM’s BlackBerry Technical Support Services – Enhanced Support, free of charge.  Additional details about the program and information about how to register will be available at www.blackberry.com/enterpriseoffer.

“We are grateful to our loyal BlackBerry customers for their patience,” added Lazaridis. “We have apologized to our customers and we will work tirelessly to restore their confidence.  We are taking immediate and aggressive steps to help prevent something like this from happening again.”

Friends, read through the details. Is it incorrect to state that LIME customers will benefit from RIM’s offer? It is reasonable to assume that Digi has similar option to share details with respect to its customers.

Com on man. This reminds me of the days when Marpin Tv was frighting to set us free from Cable & Wireless, today it’s (LIME),they kept the internet away from us and said we’re not ready, and those of us who had access, they charge us by the minute for its usage. Today every apps comes with a features such as; top, free, new. The user choose whether they want the features for a price, however, most apps are free. What’s this crap about free downloads? Blackberry is dead stop monopolizing the poor people of Dominica.

    I don’t care what they are offering>>>>

Blackberry is signing agreements with certain governments to make RIM communications data available for scrutiny, I am so disgusted by this move by RIM, I paid almost $1000 for a phone just to have the government invade my privacy……BLACKBERRY FOR SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there’s nothing I despise more than a traitor

“We will ask it to open access to people, who are allegedly involved in crimes. If RIM agrees, we will sign an agreement,” Information and Communications Minister Tifatul Sembiring said, as quoted by Antara news agency on Thursday.
He added that the company had already fulfilled five out of six demands by the Indonesian government. “It has opened branches in Indonesia; offers after servicing; blocks negative content; recruits Indonesian workers; and cooperates with local content developers so as to use local software and components,” said Tifatul.
The only demand that has not yet been fulfilled is for the company to open a data center in Indonesia. According to Tifatul, the company has yet to give an explanation regarding its delay, adding that RIM could be punished if it refused to open the center.
To date, there has been no legal basis for wiretapping Blackberry users, unlike other operators.
