The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) new promotional video ‘Bring-a-Friend’ is now on DNO TV.
The 30-second promotional video is aimed at encouraging more visits to the island year round and especially during the major festive seasons namely, Carnival and World Creole Music Festival.
It aims to encourage the Diaspora community to bring a friend with them whenever they visit the island.
The promotional video highlights the adventure activities and many moments that one can enjoy while they visit the island. It also encourages the Diaspora communities in the Caribbean region, the USA, Canada, UK and other parts of the world to “Bring A Friend” when they travel to Dominica. “We want persons to visit the island to enjoy and experience what the island has to offer”, says Mrs. Nikima Royer – Jno Baptiste, Head of Marketing at the Discover Dominica Authority.
Miss Dominica 2013, Leslassa Armour – Shillingford has been a part of the camapign program this time around by speaking to her supporters and the wider Dominican public about coming home to celebrate with Dominica during events such as Carnival. Often enough persons have commented that the island is confused with the Dominican Republic, therefore it is an opportune time to show them how uniquely different the destination is and to also familiarize themselves with a new destination.
I like this video and I like the idea of bring a friend even more. I constantly tell people about this lovely island, it’s people, and it’s culture, that I live on. Then I am asked about how do I get there from the UK and I then have to mention the dreaded word. LIAT. I am planning to bring my family over next year and already I am worried about them having to take LIAT.
You don’t have to use LIAT. Fly from London City airport to Paris Orly to connect with an Air France or Air Caraibe flight to Martinique to take a leisurely ferry direct to Roseau. This way you will also be more likely to arrive with your luggage. Good luck
good video however it is obvious that lassa is mouthing the words. that should be taken care of
