Trump not Welcome

David Comissiong

Trumps highly provocative, racially charged statements have been receiving harsh reactions locally, regionally and globally. One such response comes from Barbadian David Comissiong president of the Clement Payne Movement political party. In a “declaration” issued on behalf of the Caribbean people Comissiong stated that president Trump is no longer welcome in the Caribbean according to Barbados Today.

“We, the undersigned representatives of the sovereign people of the Caribbean, hereby declare that president Donald Trump of the United States of America is persona non grata in our Caribbean region,” Comissiong said as he read from the statement that was prepared by the “Pan-Africanist and socialist popular forces of the Caribbean nation of Barbados”.

I think Americans should apply for Visas to enter CARICOM states. Americans and Britains have too much free roam of the earth. No visas required for them to go anywhere. Granted we are a commonwealth state, so British citizens can get a pass. But America should require a visa. Do unto others…

Could have used a much better camera to to take a professional picture when reporting such political news. It would be a nice professional touch to represent the person in the best view.

Hands up who thinks that Trump gives a s*** hole about not being welcomed in the Caribbean.
In fact, he is probably very happy that he now has a good excuse not to go there.

I smile when i see these things happening because i know that redemption draweth nigh! Jesus asked one question that i ponder upon. “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8.
We read all sorts of novels, comic books, junk, and all sorts of profane literature but we reject the bible! If we were reading we would understand trumps role in prophesy. (Just like King Nebuchadnezzar spoken about by the prophets) When Trumps time is up it will be the doing of God and not man!
Trump and 9 other countries had the stomach to stand up for Israel! Every other country was against including those who abstained!
Take a closer look and understand that Israel has the right to protect itself from Islam nations and kingdoms by any means necessary! When Iran it’s neighboring state wants to wipe out the face of Israel with 2 bombs…. this is serious!

      continuation:
Instead of speaking recklessly seek to understand the religious, financial and political climate that exists within the middle east. The Islamic and Jewish war is over the temple mount in Jerusalem, which Jesus had trodden. Muslims, Christians and Jews agree that He was a prophet so why is His prophesy not recognized?
Or maybe it is, which is the reason why they all expect a messiah not realizing that He already came and will be fooled by the son of perdition.
Trump is doing just what he has to do and the world will never understand just like today it doesn’t understand God! Whom do we think we are? Easily killed by a simple virus, a knock in the head…. What is man?
Out of place! Seek God’s face because whether you want it or not you will kneel before Him! What God says WILL happen! He is God and there is no other!
All Glory and Honor and Praise to God!

These guys are so full of it. These guys are thinking the very same thing but because Trump says exactly what they have been whispering for years, it is Trump that’s the racist. Trump is speaking facts. If you all don’t like it well too bad.

Caribbean Politicians have no moral grounds to challenge Trump

this is american politics playing out right before our eyes and we should stay out of it, these Caribbean leaders should speak for themselves not on behalf of us.

Trump call the cards as it is, we fail to accept the facts

beat up on trump and say nothing to Hillary who took all of Haiti’s Aid monies-

    Trump have no cobbing

The gentleman want to advertise his socialist party sir see what socialism has done to Venezuela,Cuba,North Korea etc.Another thing,Gentleman, please first clean your own backyard Barbados.I left Dominica July 2007 for the U.S from that year to 2017 my wife and I at times my two other children ,visite da every year. But my first son was left behind ,so what we would do, was asked him to join us in Antigua or the first stop from the U.S and spend the weekend together with us and travel to DA Monday.2012 he arrived in Barbados in the morning, and because there was a little error in the address where we had to stay, the immigration officer arrested my son and locked him up for hours. When our plane landed in the afternoon that is when he was released
I am sure if he was a white man, he would not be arrested.
So when he talked about personna non grata Comissiong should tell his country stop treating Dominicans as second class in Barbados

Prove Trump’s disgustingly racist statements wrong. Enter and surpass the developed world. Education, science, technology, civility, respect for the rule of law, less corruption, innovation, excellent work ethic, respect for life. Just some of the attributes we need to practise to make him eat his words.
    Leaders over to you.

  14. January 17, 2018

That is a very bold statement to make, considering their is no concrete evidence that he made the alleged statement. Their were approximately twelve people in the room, only one person, who happens to be a democrat could confirm he made the statement. Mr. Trump was a business man before he became the President, he hired hundred of workers, not one worker ever accused him of being a racist. He was hired by NBC, a company that is very particular about who they hire, to host a TV show nick named, ” you are fired,” NBC never received any complaint for anyone, that he was a racist. Earlier this year he invited all the top golfers in America to a match, Tiger Wood who is black, was invited.

Roy Williams, the reality is that when you have decided to hate a person, you will not allow a triviality like verifiable evidence to come between you and a guilty verdict. The truth becomes collateral damage in your hate-fest.

David Comissiong: Mr. Trump, you are no longer welcome in …hole Country.

Mr. Trump: Oh my goodness, I am totally devastated! I have been looking forward to vacationing in poverty-stricken, beggar-infested, corruption-laden …hole Country all year, and now you are telling me I am not welcome anymore? Now, I have to settle for my opulent Mar-a-largo Resort in FL. Oh, what a catastrophe! Oh, the humanity!!

I’m more concerned about what politicians actually DO over that of what they SAY.

Most of these US and European leaders are thinking it anyway, they’re just not dumb enough to say it.

  22. Laplaine Observer
    January 17, 2018

I concur Mr. Comissiong. His prejudice towards people of color for over a decade, has now manifested itself in his immigration policies aimed at targeting non whites. The visa lottery program which has benefited thousands of Caribbean nationals, is about to be terminated by him. His determination to end chain migration will make it difficult for a family member to sponsor another family member. These discriminatory policies will have a lasting impact on Caribbean people.

    • Carpe Diem
      January 17, 2018

If the visa lottery benefited mainly non-whites, that means it was discriminatory against whites who wished to have the equal opportunity of migration to the U.S. Or is discrimination a problem only when it affects non-whites. The end of chain migration will impact both white and non-white immigrants since white immigrants would want their family members to come to the U.S also. So I fail to see the discrimination you are talking about.

Most of these people on here look down on haitians. Even within caribbean Islands there is prejudice. Just because TRUMP said it, all of a sudden folks develop a love for haitians overnight. Just a bunch of crocodiles!

what nonesense is this and why is DNO bothering to report this and provide legitimacy and a platform of publicity for these unknowns….just as the so-called People”s Party entity in Dominica. C’mon man DNO!

  24. January 17, 2018

Waste of time!! Does Trump or America care? The fact of the matter is if Trump really made that statement, he was expressing the sentiments of many many americans.

    January 17, 2018

All Crabs coming out from their holes to talk about Trump. Have they heard of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit of Dominica and the language he has used to describe those that have a different opinion from his? Some of his key advisors are from Barbados and yet no one is saying nothing. Why don’t we take care of our own house first then go to the US to take care of their house? I don’t support Trump but these Caribbean hypocrites need to take care of their own Trump first
