    It is always sad to hear of the death of a young person and from time to time we are reminded that death is lurking around and we should always be prepared. Our environment now makes it more difficult to be spiritually minded with so much hate and division but as individuals let’s try to make our calling an election sure. To the family of this young man seek the Lord for comfort and to those who got injured, a speedy recovery. One last thing. I am not happy with the choice of picture selected, it does not give a good reflection of the young man.

      how is it a ‘bad’ reflection?

    That being said, Ibo Francis, not to be negative but the Prime Minister cannot change the People. It is the People to change themselves. You can bring a Horse to the Well to drink water but you CANNOT compel it to drink. People make their choices and to the reckless drivers on the roads who need to go ‘Too Fast Too Furious’ that is the choice THEY made, not the Prime Minister. The same goes for the Alcoholics who need to consume Alcohol how many times a day. They have choice whether they want to do so. God gave everyone a choice; either do Good or do Bad. And depending on the choices we make our award won’t be far behind. I care less how many Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down I may get for this comment but one this is Clear and Certain: the day WILL come when we get our reckoning. Each of us have a path to choose so choose wisely. That is all.

      The prime minister can however build recreational centers for the youth to keep them occupied , give more public speeches about morality/responsibility instead of flying out every second, Cut down on cabinet size to increase government spending… Talk to his minister of national security to strengthen up the police force, Just a couple things that come off the top of my head. sometimes I does really wonder if all you understand how much power a leader of a country really have ehh? All you grant these men with so much power then make excuses and they still add insult to injury by making all their children overseas, anybody I see making excuse for the DLP I either saying they a laBORAT or a Dieaspoorer

        Whilst you make valid points some things must be remembered;

        1. The Prime Minister RUNS the country but the People are what MAKE UP a Country.

        2. People don’t take part or stay in anything they don’t want to, hence my earlier statement ‘You can bring a Horse to the Well but you cannot compel it to drink water. So all the most fancy or entertaining events can be made for the Youth but if they show no interest and already have their own Mind Set then all efforts fail in vain.

        3. Have you listened to the youth lately and what they behaviours on the road; have you listened to the older adults who should be the one setting the proper examples?

        Change is a Must but is it only a phrase? If we don’t join hands and work together to bring good to ourselves then what progress will there be? None. We waste our days sending insults and curses to each other everyday. We don’t try to help build ourselves up. Watch ourselves before we watch others. Change starts from within. Act and…

        They not making excuses is you that blaming the govt for rubbish. Other countries are well developed with more than what you mentioned above and the same thing happens. The govt cant stop a 19year old from taking a rental and falling asleep just La pointe to Souffriere. That tells me he was tired form partying or drunk. The govt cant beat responsibility into anybody. Days of old had no recreation centre, now young people have more ways to be occupied than before, their recklessness is their fault!

    My fervent prayer for complete healing of the survivor(s). Sincerest condolences to the family of motorcyclist. To all motorists, take extraordinary precautions on these roads. There is an urgent need for very sturdy guardrails in specific areas along many parts of these roads, especially close to the cliffs. Presently, there is a multitude of serious problems affecting the entire country that needs the full attention of the government. This is no time to engage in petty squabbles and futile accusations. The safety and health of the people should be of maximum concern.
