Two missing fishermen back home

missing at seaLyndell Daway and Tyrone Etienne, two fishermen of Vieille Case, who were reported missing, are now safely back home.

It was reported on Monday that Daway and Etienne had gone fishing on April 11 on a boat named ‘In A While’and had not been heard from since.

However, public relations officer inspector John Carbon, has said that the men returned on island at about 7pm on Monday.

He said they experienced engine problems, but were able to repair the engine on their own and return to shore.

However, there’s been no word of Leron Etienne of Vieille Case and Justin Carriere of Anse De Mai who have also been reported missing.

They left to go fishing on April 13, 2013 about 10pm aboard a boat named “Blue Star’.

Inspector Carbon said that the search by the Marine Rescue Coordinating Center and the local Coast Guard is continuing.

I pray for for the safe return of both boys. But people come here trying to dictate how people should comment, people comment how they feel they should comment. You want to be sensitive to the grieving families but you must call evil by its name.

You all have a lot to say too when other persons are facing tragedy and it’s none of your good friends or family. So don’t come on here pretending or playing dictator. You all get to feel what it’s like when persons are hurting and you all try to add to it. Don’t come here playing like you all never did it, bunch of hypocrites.

It’s time you all stop all this hypocrisy and serve God in spirit and in truth.

DNO my post is in your hands do whatever you all want with it, the facts still remain.

      April 17, 2013

@ Homey how you know the missing men mission was evil? were you part of the conversation? The same thing you want to burst your blood vessel about you are doing. You are nothing but a sideshow in the basement with your rants. Which posts offend you so, the ones about not gossiping and rushing to judgement? Then you speak about serving God in spirit and truth? You are a contradiction.

Homey this isn’t about hidding or defending people it’s about that nasty habit we have of always having facts like you, calling God name and if we are cornered we can’t prove what we say. I bet if one of them man step to you or drag you to court is hearsay and accusations you can present just read how you coontradict your own self.

You were corrected because some of your comments are uncalled for and are out of place. They do not belong in this article. In fact they are annoying.
The article that DNO posted about them did not stipulate that you have to give an account of their personal lifestyle, what they did and their size. No one asked you. Stick to the issue. Are you better than they? Furthermore, when are people as you going to mind your own business? I bet you have much to mind. Some of you bring down curses on yourselves – not blessings – in the manner in which you comment.
You must learn to stick to the issue and leave people’s personal life and lifestyle alone and out of your comments. I reiterate that it is none of your business.
Be happy for those who returned safe and unharmed. Pray for the safe return of the other two. This is what God expects of you. Be kind and loving! If you are a genuine practicing Christian you will practice this godliness and virtues.

I know we are an intelligent island, but I had no idea we had so many resident engineers, criminal profilers, forensic experts and such an overflow of technocrats of any order desired languishing on the island. I also didn’t know that it was a crime to own a 200 HP engine in 2013 because that is such a novel idea. Wonder what my people think of Hummers which were once reserved for military use? Why isn’t the US looking to Dominica to import in en-mass some experts to solve from the Boston act of terror, to latent 911 issues etc? Interpol is looking for French escapee Dominicans should be called upon to solve that too. Thank GOD for this tragedy of these men lost at sea, because it’s at times like these we realize our true potential by lending unsolicited advice to slow thinking policemen on island.Other peoples’ misharps makes our daily perfections illuminate even brighter!n What an island, what a people. If you get lost at sea with a 200hp engine and your brother decides to go look for you, instead of running along the shoreline, damn it you were into some illicit activities, and anyone who dares to say otherwise is either getting piece of the pie, a relative, or a soutiweh whether they know you or not. If the details posted don’t suit their agenda then something is missing….

Dominicans stop passing judgement on people, learn to mind your business, when a man falls pick him up, today is his turn, tommorow sorrow will weep at your doorstep and you will want others to be mindful of your pain irrespective of the circumstances.

Tri-State real talk that. So we are and the haters and gossipers will give you thumbs down. Last night I was talking to my pardner a custom officer and we were pushing the same vibes. Dominicans almost drive this man insane claiming he passing drugs for criminals, meantime the so called criminals threatening to pop the man for harassing them.

Keep quiet wen u don’t knw bout somefing!!!
Talkin bout dey weren’t dehydrated n hungry n dat dey r in good health! How u knw all dat??? Did dey come 2 ur home afta dey were rescued??? NO!!! So SHUT UP!!!

    Boofy n Justin I pray dat u guys r alive n dat u come back 2 us!!!

Pope Francis warns us against gossip and “scandal mongering”. Speaking poorly of someone is the equivalent to selling them. “…we begin to tear the other person to pieces”. And it is then that we must remember that every time we behave like this, “we are doing what Judas did”; when he went to the chief priests to sell Jesus, his heart was closed, he had no understanding, no love and no friendship.

Thank God two of them returned safely. I hope the other two are safe and will return home. Be strengthened, his family and keep praying. I will remember them and you in my prayers.
Lord, wherever they are, I pray they are safe and will return home safely to their family.
In the meantime, those who negatively comment, put a lid on them. The last thing their families want to read are your negative comments. Be sensitive to their anxiety and feelings. Place yourself in their situation and pray that you never find yourself in any sort of dangerous situation. This calls for people to be kind in words and wish for their safe return. We are all each other’s keepers. Your charitable words of encouragement and prayers are needed.

Does anyone here have experience at sea ? The report on the incident is lacking a lot of information, where there is a lack or no information you will get speculations. I understand the people close to the men will be emotional thats understandable but this is a news item and people will comment their opinions. fact is that, there are a lot of guys who go fishing for real and there are a lot of guys who go fishing for white and green kawang. DO YOU guys know how many of these guys who have gone out to sea and not come back ? Well I and many others know that the malority did not actually go fishing for real as their families had reported.
