Flash Flood Warning lifted for Dominica

weather updateThe Met Office has discontinued a Flash Flood Warning for Dominica effective 6:00 am.

However, it warned that a tropical wave is still affecting the island and persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to continue to be vigilant and to exercise caution.

There will be increased cloudiness with shower activity and possible isolated thunderstorms will be maintained across the island during the next 12 hours.

A gradual improvement in conditions can be expected by late afternoon into tonight.

Moderate to rough sea conditions are expected during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking near 8.0 feet. A small craft warning is in effect for above normal seas and high winds.
