A low-pressure system located in the Tropical Atlantic is expected to move mainly across the southern portion of the island chain by Tuesday into Wednesday.
Some development of this system is expected and interests in the Lesser Antilles, including Dominica, are advised to monitor the progress of this system.
Regardless of development, this system will generate shower and thunderstorm activity with gusty winds across the area late Tuesday into Wednesday.
In the meantime, a high pressure system is the dominant feature across the area.
Occasional cloudiness and a few scattered showers can be expected across the island chain during the next 12 to 24 hours.
Moderate seas are expected during the next 12 to 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet. Thereafter, an increase to peak near 8.0 feet is expected.
Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
