Streets were flooded in Roseau on Monday afternoon
Streets were flooded in Roseau on Monday afternoon

The Office of Disaster Management (ODM) wishes to inform the general public that Dominica is currently under the influence of a Tropical Wave which is producing heavy rainfalls.

All residents should attempt to get home from work as soon as possible. Residents living next to Waterways like rivers and ravines should monitor the situation and be prepared to move if the need arises.

The Dominica Meteorological Service is upgrading its Flood Watch to a Flood Warning.

Please continue to monitor the weather situation and be vigilant and exercise extreme caution in moving around due to the possibilities of landslides, falling rocks and flash flooding.

Continue to monitor weather reports issued by the local Met Service and listen to your local radio stations. Also visit [email protected]

I hear he say on MAT talk on the Block that the one acting now he have no doubt he will be appointed. Some people blow with the wind, even if it is a foul fart.

If I had power over the storms, I would command the rains, wind and storms to pelt rain on everything Skerrit attempts to do, except that I do not want anyone to die or get injured. I would command it to start pelting on the airport until it is flooded until Christmas, so that every wicked person that left their jobs in their foreign land to come down to vote for Skerrit, is stock here for months so that by the time they return their jobs are taken and their house is gone, so they could catch a little of the hell the rest of us feel in Dominica under this wicked, evil and corrupt government. I would ask the storm to do the same to every sea port as well since Dominicans are afraid of Skerrit and will not take their problems to the streets, like Saverin had us to do in 1978 for 48 days. I hope that happens. Just don, take lives, don’t hurt anyone, don’t touch personal belongings but do pelt of everything Skerrit has interest in . Amen

Boy I thought I was bad, and wanted to see Skerrit out of office more than anything on this planet; but, you out weigh me by far: One need to be careful what they wish for, because God said he is no respecter of person.

When it rains, it rains for the good and the evil, God will deal with Skerrit, in his own time, nothing last forever, man is like a blade of grass which springs, up and chopped down and burn in the fire. In order for a flood or heavy rains to harm Skerrit’s efforts the innocent shall also be become victims.

All Skerrit has done Erika has already battered, okay!

And there is moor to come.

Skerrit’s head is un-easy, the fact that he is a failed prime minister, caught in so much disgraceful controversies are evidence that the man might be cursed. Here is a man who regards himself more capable than God. He concluded when people ask God for something, and God takes long to give it to them; “when they come to me and beg for something I give it to them…

Skerrit concluded when people ask God for something, and God takes long to give it to them; “when they come to me and beg for something I give it to them right-away.”(Roosevelt M. Skerrit).

What evil can you wish on a man who has already brought evil on himself by placing himself above God? Everything he touches in Dominica fails, it all his ambitions like ashes, the rain falls and wash the ashes away, wind destroys his efforts of ash!

From one Dominican to another. When people are at their wits ends and have nothing more to lose they are at their most unpredictable. I don’t want a flood of those epic proportions but I do understand this bloggers sentiments. Mr. Skerrit had better realise that there comes a point where people will risk what is most dear to them because they see no point in continuing with the status quo with no prospects for a better life. One can live on hope only for so long before life itself becomes meaningless.

Thanks for the update DNO. But just out of concern can you follow up as to exactly who from the ODM issued the warning? Last I heard was that the staff there was re-deployed and only a secretary was at that office.

Thanks so very much. By the way, if I am able to take any pics whom do I send then to?
