A tropical wave currently east of the Lesser Antilles is expected to move westward across the island chain including Dominica late Monday into Tuesday, the Met Office stated in a weather update issued at 6.00 pm Sunday.
The forecast is for cloudy to overcast conditions with showers and possible isolated thunderstorms, which could be heavy at times, to affect the island. Gusty winds are also expected in the areas of showers and thunderstorms.
Residents in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are therefore being advised to be vigilant and exercise caution, particularly from late Monday into Tuesday.
Further updates will be provided should there be a change in current projections.
