Weather image TuesdaySynopsis: A tropical wave is affecting the island.

Forecast for Today and Tonight:

Mostly cloudy with scattered showers at first, becoming partly cloudy with a few scattered showers by afternoon

Wind: Easterly to East south easterly @ 15 to 30 km/h.

Sea Conditions: Moderate in open water.

Waves: 1.5 to 2.0 meters or 5.0 to 7.0 feet.

Low Tide: 12:10 PM

High Tide: 6:12 AM and 6:20 PM

A tropical wave will produce cloudiness and scattered showers across parts of the island chain mainly during the morning period. Thereafter, a relative improvement in conditions can be expected as a high pressure system will begin to establish itself across the area.

Persons in areas prone to landslides and falling rocks should exercise extreme caution as grounds are already saturated.

Moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet.

    Waves as high as 7.0 feet is considered a tidal wave and dangerous as well.
    May there not be any more storms in Dominica. This one was not even classified as a hurricane and it caused a lot of damage with many loss of life. I hope Dominica will not experience one as this, not for many more years, if never.
