WEEKEND FUN UPDATE: Where in Dominica?

It appears that a whole bunch of you who participated in this edition of WEEKEND FUN are either from Salisbury or are familiar with the area. As usual some of you didn’t even bother to try using the opportunity instead, to test your comedic skills but that’s great! It’s all part of the fun.

The person who took that photo was at the time located in an area of Salisbury called Grand Savannah (NOT Grand Savanne as these are two different areas in the same community).

Thank you for participating in WEEKEND FUN and get ready for the next edition on Friday!

Savanne and Savannah, why are the names so close?
Once when I was in Dominica I visited Grand Savanne. I have some friends residing there. Won’t divulge who they are. This is a lovely and modernized area with beautiful homes or mansions. :) I love the area. The view of the sea is beautiful. That area once belonged or some of it in this era, to the Shillingfords in that part of the country. Dominica still has uncultivated land which is worth building on. Dominica is bigger than many people think especially non-Dominicans.

Seriously DNO, you start an article by writing “It appears a whole BUNCH of you”? Wow, how about, “many of you”. A bunch of grapes, a group of people.

Admin: Seriously, Wow, you are technically correct. It was a deliberate attempt to portray the lighter side of the WEEKEND FUN feature but you’re right; perhaps DNO should at all times strive to be a standard bearer for the proper use of English, except of course, for the comments.
