The ChildFund Caribbean’s (formerly Christian Children’s Fund) aims and objectives are to achieve within families and communities, secure infants, educated and confident children and skilled and involved youth. Education, early childhood development, health, skills and parenting are key to ChildFund`s developmental and intervention programs.
The funds that we use to undertake these programs and achieve our goals come from individuals who are interested in assisting less privileged children through sponsorship. In that regard we are looking to sell our work and programmes to a wider audience and increase the number of sponsors that we have by appealing to Caribbean people and in particular Dominicans in the Diaspora to become sponsors of children so that we can extend these programs.
In order to do so a radiothon will be held on DBS Radio on 18th April, 2010 between the hours of 2pm and 4pm. A number of key persons will be part of the Radiothon including His Excellency the President who has been interviewed by ChildFund international staff and who was featured on our website and key children who have been success cases and now in employment and higher educational studies.
We’d like for Dominicans overseas to be aware of it and participate in what else we would need to do to with regards to advertising on the Dominican-Diaspora team.
