Seven (7) sisters: Editha Alexander and family in the United States; Augustine Jno. Baptiste, Althea Junkere, Vanya Remie and their families in England; Marvlyn Remie and family in Eggleston; Phyllis Marloon and family in Kingshill; Mary Mitchell and family in Giraudel

Two (2) brothers: Luke Remie and family in Canada; Augustus Remie and family in Loubiere

Brothers in law: Phillip, Anthony & Sylvester Giraudel, Felix Mitchell and Richardson Marloon

Sisters in law: Ann and Anna Giraudel.

Godson: Brandon Remie

Numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grandnephews, cousins and other relatives too numerous to mention both here and abroad.

Members of the Remie, Giraudel, Guye, Antoine, Laud, Jno. Baptiste, Alexander and Chasseau families from the communities of Eggleston and Giraudel both here and abroad.

Neighbour: Monica Alexander

Friends: Kathleen and Helen in Wallhouse, Jonah in Dublanc and numerous members of the British expatriate community living in Wall House, CastleComfort and various parts of Dominica.


The funeral service for the late Matilda Geraldine Giraudel will take place on Friday May 26, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church in Walthamstow, 61 Blackhorse Road.

Interment will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Leytonstone, Langthorne Road, E11 4HL.

A memorial service in her honour will be held at our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel in Giraudel at a future date.

    I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Some comforting scriptures that help me to cope is acts 24:15 and psalm 34:18 i look forward to the time when death will be no more isaiah 25:8
