An incredulous Rachel Jno Baptiste after being announced 2012 QTS winner; next to her is second place winner Kersel Evans
Rachel Jno Baptiste of Stockfarm is the winner of the 2012 Q Talent Search competition.
She sang her way to the title with two stirring, crowd pleasing performances at the QTS final which was held at the Arawak House of Culture in Roseau on Saturday night.
In second place was Kersel Evans of New Town and Jamaal Lloyd of Canefield took the third position.
Bram Sanderson from Wesley came fourth.
This is the third year of the Q Talent Search competition.
Asha Thomas of Paix Bouche won in 2010 while Shamika Sorhaindo of Delices captured the title in 2011.
Meanwhile, Webster Marie of Calibishie won the NCCU organized cadence lypso competition which was also held on Saturday night at the New Town Savannah.
Marie won with a song called Toutouni written by one of Dominica’s top female artistes, Michelle Henderson.
DNO will have more on the results of that competition later.
