The United States Senior Area Advisor for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Ambassador Ronald Godard, has literally told the United Nations General Assembly that its fifty-year-old economic blockage of Cuba is none of its business.
On Tuesday, shortly before approving by a wide majority a resolution asking the United States to lift the economic and trade embargo it imposed on Cuba in 1962, Ambassador Ronald Godard told the United Nations General Assembly that the embargo is a bilateral affair and “not appropriately a concern of this assembly.”

If the US economic blockade of Cuba is a bilateral affair, why is the USA interfering in third party transactions with Cuba? Why was the Organization of American States,(OAS), pressured by the US to expel Cuba? Why did the US seek UN support for sanctions against Iran? Why did the US pressure the WTO to take away ACP’s preferential treatment on the EU market despite our bilateral agreement through the lome Convention?
Cuban children of God are deprived food and medicine by men who claim to trust in God. Oh, I forgot that 50 million US citizens have no health insurance, 48 million live in poverty and 20 million children go to bed hungry in the great USA. In the abundance of water the weak and vulnerable is thirsty.
Obama will suffer the consequences if he does not stand for something. He cannot continue to act like Mitt Romney.
