The GEMS Hospitality School is pleased to commence its internship programme at the Fort Young Hotel. Placements will begin on August 15, 2022, and run for 3 months, 20 hours per week of practical training in Food & Beverage, Front Desk, and Housekeeping.
Applicants must submit a 200-word minimum motivation letter stating why he/she wishes to pursue a career in Hospitality, and must be between the age 18-25, unemployed, and not currently enrolled at an educational institution.
Clearly indicate in the email subject line the area of interest:
Room Attendant – responsibilities, not limited to, include cleaning room, changing towels, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, ensuring supplies are restocked.
Front Desk Agent – responsibilities, not limited to, include checking in the guest to the room, resolving issues, accommodating any special needs or requests, and at the end of the guests’ stay to process the checkout.
Server – responsibilities, not limited to, include attending to diners before, during, and after their meals by taking food and beverage orders, ensuring the timely delivery of food and beverages, checking on their tables periodically throughout the service time, and ensuring accuracy of their bill.
