Be sure to wear your national colors at the job interview. All attire must be in fire engine Red with the followings words:
“I love my P.M.
“Five Hundred more years of Labor.”
And what would the market rate be? $5 per hour, $8 or 10 per hour? Or perhaps less or perhaps go back to slave labour again. OMG!
Be positive. Please! I know it seems hopeless, I’m pretty sure it will be positive. And a lucrative hourly rate. I pray!
One thing is sure: the rate can not below the law standard.
With all these bad constructions going on in Dominica by the chinese , skerrit still giving them to built airport,, look at the stadium that is falling apart..and the state college. I wouldn’t give them to built a fowl cage..
For decades now, the Chinese have been famous for quantity but never for quality. But Skerrit remains a faithful customer because it suits him and he has no alternative. I children will pay the real price!
Maybe we can open the eye have a look at the world. Example: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_Pudong_International_Airport
Perhaps the China Railway No.5 Engineering Group Caribbean Ltd could also be contracted to fix the road and stabilize to the land movement at Antrim.
They tell me to cheer up, things could be worse. So I cheer up and sure enough, things do get worse.
What’s up with the age discrimination? Me. Yuan please explain. This should not be tolerated.
It seems to me that Dominica does not have employment standards laws to protect against discrimination. What’s next Black people need not apply?
What gets to me is that these foreigners come here do as they please and the government sits by impotency, unable to do or say anything to the contrary.
Zandoli, you talking rubbish sorry I didn’t ment to be rude to you or anyone else but I think you missing the point, first of all building an international airport is a big man thing not boys we Dominicans just don’t have that expertise skills or knowledge of international airport building to handle heavy aircraft such as 747-787and more. Having said that our international airport will be coming and there’s work for everyone like it or not who vex to bad ha ha ha I am happy as a 🐝
For the most part age discrimination is an issue after being employed. The laws are more geared towards protecting individuals from being pushed out because of their age.
For certain types of jobs it’s understandable and legal that a maximum age for starting employment is in place. That is not uncommon even in the US which is probably the country with the most extensive anti age discrimination laws.
The NYPD for instance states that you must register to take the entrance exam before the age of 35.
You may do some office work or engineer work or etc. question: can you do the labor work as carrying the heavy timber or rebar once you aged than 50? Pls be reminded this is construction field. Different field has the different related requirement. Thank you.
