Branch Manager-Roseau Branch

Unicomer (Dominica) Ltd. requires a highly experienced individual to fill the position of Branch Manager for its Roseau Branch.  Reporting to the Senior Manager, the incumbent is responsible for directing and managing assigned retail outlets in order to maximize trading profits.  Execute the strategic direction for trading, following company-wide trading policies and procedures.

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

General

 

  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Company’s standards and policies.

 

  • Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other Company Managers, Supervisors & co-workers to foster and promote cooperation and teamwork.

 

  • To represent the company and department in the required respected and orderly fashion. At all times set example by word, deed and attitude of the standards expected of the staff at Courts and working with colleagues toward the improvement of the services offered.

 

  • Ensure a customer-focused sales environment.

 

  • Contribute to the development of incentives to generate targets and motivate staff around same

 

  • Feedback information to the relevant Departments in order for informed decisions to be made regarding advertising, promotions, pricing and product range.

 

  • Maintain range plans as established by the Merchandising Department

 

  • Work with HR to determine training needs of the various levels of branch personnel and agree on suitable development programmes

 

  • Collaborate with the HR Department to ensure appropriate appointments are made at branch level.

 

  • Ensure that all staff are trained in health and safety practices and ensure adherence to health and safety as well as statutory regulations

 

  • Ensure adherence to appropriate store security procedures.

 

  • Assist with the design and implementation of measures of loss prevention

General Qualifications/Training Required

 

  • The incumbent should possess a certificate or diploma/degree in Business Studies or Business Administration.
  • At least five years experience in Supervisory position in at least two of the following areas – Sales, Marketing and Merchandising

  • Knowledge of policies, systems and procedures of Courts
