The Diocese of Roseau Youth Secretariat invites the general public to an open and frank discussion on God’s Plan for Love, Life & Sex. The event, entitled: Naked Without Shame, will take place at 6:00pm on Friday October 11 at the Roseau Cathedral Chapel (Formerly the St. Gerard’s Hall).
Have you been affected by the recent surge of pornography, bullying and victimization going on in our Blessed Country? Have you been questioning your sexual identity? Are you concerned about our youth and their future? Come and have your questions answered. Come and let us reclaim our dignity & freedom.

oh how i wish i could attend! All the best to the organisers.
I congratulate the Roseau Youth Secretariat on this initiate and in particular their choice of a title for the discussion, “Naked Without Shame”.
As a painter and sculptor, I passionately believe in the beauty and dignity of the nude human form. I express this to my students at the beginning of a life-class with these words of advice, “Take the shoes from off thy feet, for the ground you are about to step upon is Holy Ground”. It regrettable that we are conditioned to see the nude as something shameful.
In a similar vein, Robert Henri, one of the great art teachers from the past had this to say:
“There is nothing in all the world more beautiful and significant of the laws of the universe than the nude human body. It is not only among artists, but among all people that a greater appreciation and respect for the human body should develop. When we respect the nude we will no longer have any shame about it.”
I see this news was posted on October 8, 2013.
So far there has only been one comment. Surely there is more than one DNO reader who has something to say about such an important event.
I am an Evangelical Christian – not a Roman Catholic. Between myself and the Catholic Church there are differences. But I find myself agreeing with the Biblical moral teachings of the Catholic Church.
Because of the serious personal, marriage, family, and community problems
today caused by those who ignore the time proven standards of healthy sexual behavior in the Bible I find it encouraging that the Diocese of Roseau Youth Secretariat is providing such a forum. They have much to offer and a gathering like this has tremendous potential.
I hope those responsible for guiding the discussion will uphold uncompromisingly
the Biblical position on each issue. Too many today who are suppose to be giving spiritual leadership are bowing
to political correctness and public expediency. There is no higher authority than the Word of God and no brighter light to guide men and women through the maze of
confusion in this 21 century.
If you go to my website http://www.livinghopeministries.ca and click onto THE LIGHTER SIDE you will find a little story that illustrates my point.
Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.
Great initiative by the Catholic church. Should be interesting.
