  1. Good First Step...

I am pleased that this timely notice was sent out and I wish the Solid Waste Management team the best of luck in getting things underway in order to prevent this travesty from occurring again.

I would suggest that Solid Waste also include measures persons can take in the meantime to best “store” these “non-residential and non-commercial” waste as to prevent the breeding of mosquitos, parasites, rats, mice and other vermin. We don’t want another epidemic on our hands.

Good first step though Solid Waste. I tip my hat to you.

I understand and I don’t mind but what I don’t accept is the absence of a regular collection of household waste, on schedule!. Thus week Solid waste did not turn up at all and at other times they come on undesignated dates, leaving piles of rubbish to rot and torn apart by animals, including rats near people’s residences.

What ever happened to the idea of a recycling program for these items?

Yeah, I remember that clearly. Didn’t Anthony Scotland sign an MOU (that word was in fashion at the time!) with a recycling company in California by the name of Muller, in Oct. 2010? . He was the boss of the Solid Wast Management Company then. What happened to all that?
