Dominica Sports Festivals continue this weekend

The District Sports Festivals (DSFs), organized by the Sports Division as part of its strategies to resuscitate sports at the community level, will continue at two (2) venues this Sunday – August 31^st 2014.

Persons representing the communities spanning Massacre to Dublanc have been invited to represent their villages in the West DSF which is scheduled to take place for the first time in the village of Mahaut. The event will start at12:30 pm and the sporting disciplines that will be contested will be netball, volleyball, basketball, track, cricket, football and rounders.

At Lindo Park, the continuation of the Roseau/Roseau Valley DSF will take place from 1:30 pm. With netball, rounders, basketball and volleyball already completed, the communities are expected to compete in Football, Cricket and Track.
