On October 14, Ambassador Matsubara visited the Dominica Football Association (DFA) office in Roseau, Dominica. He was accompanied by Mr Gerard Cools-Lartigue, Honorary Consul of Japan to Dominica, and met with Mrs Jarsmine Vidal-Matthews, Secretary General, and Mr Jerome Bardouille, Technical Director at the Dominica Football Association.
During the meeting, they discussed sports promotion, the upcoming 2022 World Cup, the Sport For Tomorrow (SFT) initiative that is being implemented by Japan, and exchanged views to further strengthen the relationship in sports between Japan and Dominica.
SPORT FOR TOMORROW (SFT) is an international contribution-through-sport initiative jointly implemented by Japanese public and private sectors. SFT aims to share the values of sport and promote the Olympic and Paralympic Movement to people of all generations around the world including developing countries, for a better future for the
world.
In this regard, the Japan Football Association donated 48 used footballs to the Dominica Football Association through the Sport For Tomorrow (SFT) initiative, which was handed over by Ambassador Matsubara during his visit to the Dominica Football Association’s office.
Give me a flipping break, of all that the football association requires for growth and development you mean that’s the best de ambassador could deliver for dominica?
Wasn’t there some dialogue with the football association to discuss the best interest of football?
Boy, we sure settle for crumbs yet take photos to make ourselves look important.
Shame on the football association and the ambassador.
