Skerrit pledges support for countries hit by Beryl

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has announced that Dominica will assist the islands in the region that were severely impacted by the passage of Hurricane Beryl. Presently, Grenada, Barbados, St. Vincent are the countries that received the hardest hit from Hurricane Beryl.

Skerrit reported that he has been in touch with all the prime ministers before, during, and after the hurricane.

“We have a duty and obligation as brothers and sisters to reach out to our brothers and sisters in times of need,” he said. “And my principle is that you don’t give from the plenty that you have, you give from the little that you have.”

He continued, “All the three islands that were impacted, we will provide some support to them.”

Skerrit stated that he had a meeting with CARICOM on Tuesday morning to assess their collective response in terms of assistance to the affected countries.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to all of those who have been impacted by the hurricane,” Skerrit stated.

Furthermore, Skerrit said it is difficult and is going to be expensive to repair infrastructure in addition to the pre-existing challenges already faced by countries in the region.

Skerrit is well known in the región for creating national and natural disaster in Dominica that he cannot fix, so what kind of support all you think he can give to the región. in fact he is a no voice, no brain, no voice among his regional colleagues let alone for anyone to depend on him

Roosevelt mind is twisted and delusional that is why he is not capable of seeing the aftermath of the passage of the recent hurricane although the island did not sustain a direct hit!
However, rather than spewing wet fart as he usually do, trying to create impression that there is a money mill hidden in his house manufacturing money in abundance and so he is able to help others and not Dominica, something is psychological wrong with him.
I am home in Los Angeles, but by yesterday, I was overwhelmed with photographs of damages on the island caused by the storm!
The Main Street in Coulibistrie is damaged, though negotiable by speeding stupid drivers.
Rather than this Roosevelt assess the damage to the country and figure out how our damages will be repaired, from where help will come which the island needs, he is pretending Dominica is so rich with an abundance of cash so, he’s ready to help others.
Ready to help who with what?
    Charity begins at home!

PM could you please try rebuilding Dominica’s roads, bridges, sea and river walls and defensives, regularly flooded villages like Coulibistrie and Pointe Michel first, before you begin to think that you could help other affected countries?

Roosevelt is just a remorseless impressionist. Here is it this man quickly promising to assist the Caribbean countries severely affected by Beryl. Sounds like the right thing to do.

This notorious deceiver is so predictable. I saw these promises being spouted by him even before he made them. His pronouncements are intended to give him favourable publicity throughout the region. He’s an opportunistic hypocrite.

If he were genuinely concerned about people especially his own, those impoverished Dominicans still living in vulnerable areas near the sea, rivers and areas prone to flooding, landslips and falling rocks, would have been assisted by government to move safer places of abode.

The depraved and callous disregard for the least among us is the true nature of Roosevelt. The type of leadership he displays can only b described as HOGWASH.

SSU should be out on standby since Sunday and out in Cariacou by now. the biggest Jack Asterix in caricom had RSS in Salisbury on demand. you had meetings before during and after so the kind of support that dominica can give should already be clear and mobilized. the little we have but you can wear $9000 shoes and $4000 shirt.

is only a fool or wicked man that would help destroy his people and yet be so busy to help non nationals. But we see him every day taking bread from us and give them to foreigners. I know those religious people will quote Bible but the same Bible commands us to Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Mark 12:30-31.

    Poor-boasting again!
What help can you Roosevelt offer to Barbados, and Carricaou devastated by the hurricane?
The sale of Dominica Passports are on the decline; hence your partner in crime, your boss who has billions of dollars from the sale of Dominica passports in his name in foreign banks, reluctant to release money to you to pay civil servants, and spend in other sectors of Dominica’s economy.
What make you think he will give you money to give to Mia to help repair Barbados!

And by the way if it is true that Ross University left Dominica because of Dominica’s vulnerability to annual hurricanes, by now they have found out Barbados as every other Caribbean islands are as vulnerable too!
That is the lie, but the truth is Ross left because of poor international access via an international airport into and out of Dominica!
If your buildings in Barbados are affected, that’s not a problem for you, your personal billions will cause your construction to continue!

I don’t think that any Dominican will be averse to Dominica helping a regional country or countries struck by a disaster. In fact if you had a heart at all, your XCD$64 000.00 monthly RENTAL FEE , plus another amount $$$$$ for utilities, would all be sent to those countries. This could take care of several families every month. You can also make a personal payment from your pocket, something that 99% of Dominicans can’t do, since they are broke.
    I support the gesture!!
