AcademiX wins DOWASCO interschool debate

AcademiX School of Learning students, Nechante LeBlanc and Asiah Yankey
On Thursday,  AcademiX School of Learning won the DOWASCO interschool debate competition.
The debate took place as part of the company’s ‘water week’ celebration, which runs from March 20 to March 24, AcademiX took on the Dominica State College (DSC) debating the topic ‘DOWASCO should become a private entity’. This is the fourth year that DOWASCO has held this debate.
Proposing was AcademiX School of Learning, which was represented by speakers, Nechante LeBlanc and Asiah Yankey. Opposing was the DSC represented by Ajani Shillingford and Geyoudena Desir.  Nechante LeBlanc was awarded best speaker.
General Manager of DOWASCO, Bernard Etinoffe was present at the event and applauded both schools for their hard work and efforts.
The event was hosted at the UWI open campus.

    Congratulations to all the young people learning important communications skills. I wish these articles got even half as many responses as the politics ones.

    First time hearing of the name of this school “Academix”.
