Ajani Casimir’s successes have raised the profile of cycling and of youth in Dominica.

I hope that this leads to more people taking up cycling, both as a sport and a leisure pursuit. But for this to happen we need to create dedicated cycle lanes and cycle trails.

I have happy memories of travelling thousands of miles by pedal power alone. My classic 1960’s Peugeot touring cycle now languishes here at Antrim in the hope of being adopted by a new owner so she can continue her travels.
