Hardly a day goes by without Dowasco announcing a disruption in their service, which really means leaving their customers without potable water. Bernard Etinoffe is a good man and I do not underestimate his difficulties keeping our national water company going. If Dominica indeed has 72,000 inhabitants and every household household connected to the system has two people(and this is optimistic) it would mean that Dowasco has to look after only 36,000 accounts.
Dowasco is 100% owned by our government and I wonder if it is properly managed its owner perhaps. Our P.M. moans about his citizens complaining too much but I would remind him that it is no fun to be without piped water, especially when it is so abundantly available. Get the basics right first Roosevelt before embarking on fancy schemes way outside your competence please and we’ll respect you more..

Well-loved. Like or Dislike: Thumb up 11 Thumb down 0

It would be nice if you explained what the problems were when you shut down the supply, as it does happen quite a lot.
