Dominica is reporting two new cases of Covid-19.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit via a live address to the nation this afternoon. The two positive cases stem from 37 returning cruise ship employees that were tested, 35 of the cases tested negative for the virus while only 2 tested positive.
The 35 returnees who tested negative will remain under mandatory observation for another two weeks.

Well, at least we know that it came from that cruise ship employees, let us hope that they are the only 2 out of the 37. Let us pray that the other 35 will continue to test negative, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Thanks for the information Mr. Skerrit – well the only way we can seriously control or mitigate the spread of this virus is to work together following the health protocols, hygiene and practices and advice being put forward by the Ministry of Health. It also requires us , all of us. to exercise self discipline and that self discipline has to begin at the top. So for example you and your health protocol people can’t say to us that no beach and river going/ no family picnics yet still you are seen at the Emerald Pool doing the very same thing you and your covid 19 administrators are calling out to us not to do. Man step up to your responsibilities and stop exhibiting yet another scenario where you are telling us do what I say, not what I do, literally embarrassing your Minister of Health and his staff.
Didn’t you know that there are 2 sets of laws and rules… one for Skerrit and his cabal and one for the rest of us. Open all your eyes!

I don’t think you are educated about the virus either. The scientists that’s are studying the virus can’t completely understand it how would he in dominica understand it? Everyday new Intel on this virus is coming out. Still I am I wasn’t happy when I saw employees from the cruises coming back to dominica. The first thing that came to mind I would be a second wave of the virus and so though so happened. That’s just the beginning. It’s not putting fear into people. It is being realistic, being human and living with your head on earth.
