ALIVE WORD: The love of money Part 2

The Richardsons

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:10

Some people are living beyond their means and trying to prove points to people, going to all lengths to build houses, own cars, clothes shoes, bags and other items that they cannot afford.  Some are selling themselves out for the Almighty dollar bill at the expense of their character, integrity and souls.  Listen ladies, if you cannot afford a genuine Gucci bag for $500.00 buy a nice $20.00 bag, they do exist.  Don’t sleep around with people just to get money to do your hair and nails or pay your rent.  You are more valuable to God than that.  Don’t use the child support money to buy new clothes and shoes and leave your children go hungry.  Remember God is watching and whatever we sow we are sure to reap.

Young men, the $800.00 cell phones and the $1,000.00 car rims…  For some people it an item is not name brand they cannot buy it or wear it.  Do not get me wrong, I believe that we should look our best at all times but it is very important especially with what is going on in the world’s economy right now that we be wise.  Live on a budget and save your money.

Parents, it is important that we teach our children from young the importance of godliness, honesty, integrity and contentment.  If you give them everything they want, whether you can  afford it or not and do not teach them the importance of being contented, honest and not being ensnared by the love of money, they will grow up thinking that the world owes them and some will venture into unscrupulous and illegal acts just to get what they want.  Please don’t get me wrong, I am a parent and I know the children have minds of their own and there comes a time when parents no longer can make decisions for them.  But according to the Word of God, the process of training is important and is actually the responsibility of the father.  But if the father is not fulfilling the role then the mother has to try her best to do what she can to instill Godly values in her children.

God is calling the saints of God to be wise stewards of the money He has blessed us with.  You see when you are faithful in little; God can bless you with more.  Of course Christians, we must not rob God.  We are to give 10% of our gross earnings to the Lord in tithes and offering on a monthly basis.  If we don’t, we cause curses to come on ourselves and our families and give the enemy an open door to steal from us.  Malachi      If you are attending a church that preaches and teaches the uncompromised Word of God and you pay your tithes remember you are paying it to God, neither the pastor nor the church.  God will hold the pastor and the church administration accountable and responsible for what is done with the funds.  Give God what is His FIRST and you will see how he will cause the blessings to overtake you.  You can neither win nor prosper if you rob God.

Do not allow money to be your God.  Beware of deals, schemes, scams and if it seems all too good to be true, maybe it is.  Do not allow the love of money to ruin your life.  Submit your life totally to Jesus Christ; be contented and trust God to provide for you and your family.  In Hebrew 13:5 it states “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Christians beware!  In dealing with financial matters, if you get a check in your spirit, wait, take some time and seek God further before making decisions.  Sometimes we have to wait on God but it is better to do that than to make decisions and then get into jail.

Saints of God, God is calling us to war in the Spirit in prayer against this spirit of greed that is rooted in the love of money; that is on the rise in our territory.  Let us pray earnestly and fervently.  Our prayers avail much.

    Gary, come on now! You are sounding like a broken record; an awful nuisance as well. You do nothing more than convince me that you are one of those who feed from Satan. And I repeat myself by saying that Satan is trying to feed all of us, but some people know how to refuse him while others continue to accept him. Satan’s feeding is lies, so those who are filled with those lies cannot receive the truth.

    I know about it, but I did not come to that conclusion on my own. It is Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Living God, who told us that “Satan has no truth in him, for he is a liar and the Father of lies”. Truth, Gary, is the opposite of lies. But you cannot understand or accept that, for you exist with a carnal mind, the mind that gobbles up what Satan is feeding to you.

    Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, also told us that if we believe in His teachings we will know the Truth and the Truth will make us free. Are you suggesting that I doubt the teachings of Jesus Christ? What is it that you are speaking about as you suggest that I “believe those who are seeking the truth and to doubt those who find it”? Foolish indeed, but it is not unusual, coming from you.

    Those who are seeking the truth are all over the place just like you are. They are accepting all sorts of garbage, hoping that they have found the truth. Why? Because those people refuse to accept Jesus Christ, who says “I am the Way the Truth and the Life.” That is your problem Gary, you do not want to accept those words of Jesus Christ..

    I know the freedom that Jesus spoke about, Gary; because I believe He taught me the Truth, He manifested the power of His Holy Spirit in my Life, to teach me how to walk the Life of Love. and the Life of Love is freedom, to dwell in the presence of God Almighty who is of Spirit and of Truth.

    If you have any truth in you, why don’t you tell me where it came from? Or do think you can produce your own truths? That is exactly what you are sounding like anyway. But if you are producing your own truths, why do you continue to speak as if you are bound by that horrible twine of confusion, doubts, blindness, deafness, and darkness? For that is what your writing illustrates.

    What more can I tell you, except to advise you to stop your foolish repetition in those comments of yours. When are you going to get it into your head that you are making a nuisance of yourself? I would simply ignore you, but you continue to write my name in your foolishness.

    Perhaps you have not noticed that I have nothing to say to you, except that you are extremely ignorant as far as God, who is a Living Being in the Body of Jesus is concerned. It is from Him that people receive wisdom, to discern the difference between Truth and lies.

    One more thing, my prayer was for those who are humble, wanting to know and accept the Truth that God speaks through His chosen messengers. That prayer is not for you, for I perceive that you are proud, haughty, and self-centered. That group of people cannot receive the grace of God–his blessings of mercy and compassion in Love. For they refuse to accept it. And that is exactly what you are doing.

    @elizabeth xavier:

    What is the truth to you, is it the religious beliefs you hold, What makes you believe that you and the Richardson have the truth, Do you know what the truth is, well, it is not found in some column written expressing religious beliefs that is not the truth at all. I’m not saying that you should not be entitled to have your religious beliefs, you have all the rights to your religious beliefs, but why do feel it is the truth, and when someone questions that they are referred to as Satan, What makes you feel your religion alone has the truth, and the concept you have about God is the truth. Yes you said let us pray for those who are humble, well what about praying for those that are vain. Finally I will say this, believe those who are seeking the truth; doubt those who find it.

    @wisdom: :

    When we have beliefs, it is natural to come up with reasons to support what we believe, it is a personal convection, but the reasons given are not necessarily the truth as in the case the reason you have given to support your belief that money is the root of all evil. That is what you believe The beliefs you have or hold about something and what it is are two different things. The analogy you gave is so sallow, I do not know why someone would believe that to be the truth about money.You made a statement quote ” the root of evil is to despise some one else because of what they lack.” Well if a woman leaves her husband because he lacks intimacy,and respect for her, is that evil because she left her husband, intimacy and respect, are theses things evil, the causes
    why she left, and in the case of money why would think that money is evil if that was the case.

    By the way, I’m sure you belong to some kind of religious denomination, well, why do they collect money in the church if it was the root of all evil, why would it be tolerated.We are so quick to blame out side things and forces for the causes of our problems but never once look within ourselves and find out why we are doing such things, that is where the problems lies within, everything starts within and manifest outwards, is it because we scared, to find the truth or we are being lied to with religious dogma not making us finding the truth. By the way I’m not in any way trying to change your belief as to what you think about money or anything else, it is not disbelief that is dangerous to our society it is belief, but also remember he outer conditions of a person’s life will always be found to reflect their inner beliefs.

    The love of money is still the root of all evil, if I as a wife, I love money and my husband does not have any, should I still love him? maybe I should divorce him, so the root of the evil in this case is “the love of money”. the root of evil is to despise some one else because of what they lack.
    The root in this case is the source of danger. It is also said that you cannot serve God and money for you will love one and hate the other.

    Anonymous, I agree with you once more. It does not matter to me, if people do not care to take heed of the Truth, as they allow Satan to feed them through their carnal mind. And it is true that their negative response do not affect the Richardsons, neither you, me, and those who are strong in the Life of Spirit and Truth by faith.

    But I also know that there are many people who need to take a number of steps further into their relationship with the Living God, in the Person of Jesus Christ. However, those persons, until they are able to rely on the teachings of God’s Holy Spirit, are searching for encouragement from other people around them. My concern is that those negative commentators discourages people who are weaker, but desire to flourish–to build strength– in the Life of Love–the Life of Spirit and Truth, in harmony with our Living God, in Jesus Christ.

    Let us pray on behalf of those people who are humble, but weak, wanting to know the One True God, in Jesus Christ. Let us call unto God on their behalf, asking Him to teach them to build faith–the necessity of maintaining a sincere and dedicated relationship with Him. Let us pray for the time that negativity will have no effect on no one who is truly searching for the Love of God; and that by faith, they will find this Love. Let us pray this on the behalf of the humble people with a positive attitude, through their faith in God and His Word, in Jesus Christ. Amen!

    Why do we human beings always respond in the negative. If the situation does not fit your character, then don’t bother. But these are strong words of advice from the Richardsons. They are not telling us do not buy the rims and the cell phone, but instead set our priorities straight. In order words, do not envy your neigbours goods, satisfy with what you have and seek God first and all the rest will be added unto you. We must learn to accept good criticisms, look beyond and see where in our lives we are affected and ways we can do better not only for ourselves but for others.

    I believe that the message of the gospel has been shifted from true repentance and salvation to a gospel of gimmie trying to turn God into a geenie, we have lost our focus, we have been sold a bit of lies, infact most of the fashion gurus are homosexuals and it is so ashamed that we are trying to wear their clothes and fashion making them rich. now how is that for wealth transfer. When the bible says the kingdoms of this world has become the kngdoms of our Lord and of his Christ. We have been told that prosperity is in the things that we can acquire, thus reducing a man to things, when Christ taught that a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of things he posseses. We need to go back to the place where we teach on a true divine relationship with God, which is a total surrender and an unwavering commitment to holiness love and true commitment to faith and family. It is still said tha we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

    Don’t be a hypocrit, speak for yourselves because given the chance you would have the rims and the cars… tsk it makes me sick reading this crap. I bet you or your wife’s phone cost more than $1000. Check yourselves before you check others, I wonder how much the shades your wife has in the pic cost, and the earrings.
