ALIVE WORD: God have you forgotten me?

Ministers Wilbert and Jacqueline Richardson

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. – Hebrews 13:5

One thing that is very important in our walk with the Lord is that we keep focused.

It’s very easy to become distracted and sidetracked by challenges, circumstances, weapons, and situations, and the devil will temp you  to feel like God has forgotten you.

Sometimes the challenges of life can leave you feeling overwhelmed.

Patience is a fruit of the Spirit that all of us should possess, but waiting on God is often a challenge.

We’re living in an instant age. Technology has developed to the point where you press a button and things just happen. When we pray and believe God for something, we would like it to happen the next minute.

When we pray, we must believe that God has not only heard but answered our prayers. We wait on the Lord for the appearance of the answers. It may take a minute, a day, a week, a month, a year, or even years for an answer to appear.

We must always believe that God knows best and that His timing is perfect. He is never too early nor is He too late.

If you believe God for something, continue to wait upon Him. Wait with an air of expectancy and be in an attitude of thanksgiving.

Stop looking at your neighbor or your brother or sister in the church who seems to be getting blessings left, right, and center. Don’t become envious. You don’t know what they had to do or go through to get what they have. Once you’ve planted, be sure that your time of reaping will come.

Just think on what Joseph must have gone through. He was wrongly accused and convicted. He served time for a crime he didn’t commit. I’m sure that many days he must have felt like God had forgotten him.

But God had a set time for Joseph and He has a set time for you. All God asks is that you trust Him wholeheartedly. He knows just when to come through for you, how to come through for you and how to bless you abundantly.

The Word of God says that Jesus was tempted as we’re tempted and that He is touched with the feelings of our infirmities. God knows what you’re going through. He knows the tears that you cry and the pain that you feel.

When Jesus was on the cross, He cried out to His Father, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46b).

He not only cried with a loud voice. He was in agony, pain, sorrow, and heaviness of heart.

At times we, too, have to cry out to God with a loud voice. At other times we’re so burdened that we cannot even pray. All we can do is groan in the Spirit.

Romans 8:26 states, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

If you need to cry, cry. If you need to groan, groan. The best solution is to praise God.

God is still with you, no matter how dark it may seem. Your answers are on the way. You may have been hurt by someone you loved or trusted, and you may be feeling like you’re all alone.

You’re not alone; God is with you. He sticks closer than a brother. God loves you and He cares for you.

Don’t allow the devil to deceive you. It’s worth it to serve the Lord. Your labor isn’t in vain in the Lord. All the things you’ve been doing and the sacrifices that you’ve made to share the Word of God are being recorded in God’s book of remembrance. God is going to pour you out blessings in this life and in eternity.

Don’t slow down, and don’t stop now. You’re on the brink of a miracle. It’s human to become discouraged, but rise up and hope in the Lord.  God is with you, my friend, and He will never forsake you. He promised to be with you even unto the end.

James 5:7-11 states, ” Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”

You’re special to God, and once you’re obedient to Him you’ll eat the good of the land.

    To the Person named Grateful

I will always remember the Sunday, in 1996. I was at home fighting against the greatest state of distress, a person will ever know–depression. Yes, depression is a thing that just eats up your mind, taking the slightest interest that you have experienced in Life, leaving you dull, blank, empty, sick, and sad. Depression is a pain with no feelings, but it is the worse pain a person will ever know.

But God would not allow me to wilt away with depression. Today I know why. For I am here, today, 15 years later, with the belief that God is preparing me that He might do a great work through me.

To be able to tell you that just as it happened with you and your computer and the Word of God, through the Richardson’s that is the same way it happened with me on that Sunday with my television and the Word of God through many different Pastors, Preachers, Gospel music and news, is a testimony which God has given me, that I might witness in His name.

That Sunday in 1996, it seem as if I was glued to my sofa, whether I wanted to be there or not, because God knew that the only medicine I needed was His Love. And yes, today I know that Love of God, by faith in His Person, the Son, Jesus Christ. God’s Love has healed me to give me Life in the Spirit, and now that Spirit of Life in me, is working to give me complete healing of my physical body.

No, Satan did not leave me alone, the more I began to realized that God’s Love was healing for me, the more he tried to tell me that was not true. He did that by sending his bullets of lies at me. They came from all four corners of the world–sickness in my body, my ears, my eyes; fleshly fear, work problems, financial problems–you name one; and I had that one too.

But God would bless me with faith, and even when I thought I would face final defeat, He would cause something to happen or cause someone to talk to me, a way by which He built my assurance, that in Him I had all the strength I needed–today I am confident of that Truth as well.

Who am I today? I am a person who knows that there is no Life in me without God’s Love. I am a person who knows that because God is Love, Himself, His Words are the words of Truth. I am a person who knows the wisdom and revelation of God’s Holy Spirit, is the guidance I need to survive from day to day.

In Jesus Christ, God has promised me abundant Life, by the wisdom of faith I am learning how to practice that Life of abundance in this world. Because I must know how to do that before my days in this world come to an end, or before Jesus Christ returns to this world.

One of my greatest accomplishment since I gave my Life to Jesus, is a book that I wrote–250 pages long. I am looking forward to the blessing that is my reward from God for this work–as soon as I am able to publish it.

For the past 20 years I suffered with hearing disability. From 2005 to August 2010, I could not hear anything at all. Today, I have a hearing device that cost $55,000.00, but because I live in Canada, the government here took total responsibility to give me that device–meaning that I did not have to pay a cent. I am learning to hear everything and to keep a conversation face with people again.

To whom does the glory belong? I give it all to God, in Jesus Christ. He who blessed me with patient, to wait on Him. For he knows my needs. Yes, God knows our pain, our grief, our desire for His Love. God hears our groan and He knows when we are being sincere, through our groaning. He does not forget us, for He has promised us through His Son, Jesus Christ. And lo! I am with you always, even to the end of the ages. Matthew 28: 20

I sat down at my computer broken, sad with a heart burdened with sorrow and pain. I have never read this column, but for some supernatural reason, it jumped out at me today. God is so very good. I NEEDED TO HEAR/SEE THIS. THIS WAS ESPECIALLY WRITTEN FOR ME! I am convinced of that. Lately, I’ve grown more hungry for the word of God and the “things” of God, but for some unforseen reason, I have become more sensitive to my circumstances, more tearful, I catch myself questioning if God has forgotten about me, will things ever get better in my life, etc. etc. The devil somehow got wind of my appetite for God’s grace and he has been on the attack more than ever before! I try my best not to get disheartened or discouraged but I can’t understand what is going on…I need Thee more than ever before. I pray that God will show up for me and my family. Thanks so much for this WORD, and for the previous postings. May God bless us all.

Hang in there and trust him… In the gospel of Luke the enemy tempted Jesus Christ after he had fasted and was hungry.. Read this in the book of Luke.. The last he did was he took Jesus to the pinnacle and showed him land and said he would give him all if he fell down and worshipped him the enemy. What struck me is the word states that after Jesus answered him and told him that he should not tempt the Lord thy God .. the bible states that he left him for a ‘season” .

Be mindful my dear , he will always come and attack you but remember our Father says he will neither leave you nor forsake you. Also he will never allow you to be tempted more than you can bear.. Just trust him and keep in his busom. As the writer states just praise him with an attitude of gratitude no matter what you see around you .. Always remember it coul dbe worst so always praise and thank him every minute evey hour every day and you will see the Glory of the Lord.

        ???????????

You are so right! Satan leaves us for a season; that means he will keep coming back until he has had the victory. But Satan knows with God he has no victory. The reason he leaves us the first time is either because he got us under his wings–meaning that he knows we are heading into his paths. The other reason is because he notice the strength of God working in us, even if we may not know it for ourselves; he knows that too! And that is the reason he will come back and try again.

That is why we must always be ready for his come-back; as long we are allowing God’s controlling in our lives, Satan will try to interfer. We can never say that we are strong enough, so Satan cannot touch us, because God allows him a limit of time in our lives, the way by which He causes to build up in spiritual strength. Good advise!

And if that doesn’t work, pay the evangelist some money. Jerry Falwell proved the power of prayers and money many a time.

The bible tells us that – eyes have not seen, ears have not headr and hearts have not known how much the Lord has in store for us. ”
He is no man that he should lie, he has never spoken and not taken action and he has never promised and not fullfilled” Numbers 23:19

God is never too late, he is always on time. I encourage us all to trust and obey him, and we will be rewarded according to our deeds. Glory to God….. I bless his Holy name..

May the grace and love of God be with you all, and the communion and fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us always.

I Thank God for your lives Ministers Wilbert and Jacqueline
