ALIVE WORD: Power belongs to God

The Richardsons

“God has spoken once,Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.”
Psalm 62:11

Nothing or no one in this world is more powerful than God.  In 2 Chronicles 25:8 it states “… God has power to help and to overthrow.”  Many today are striving for power and those who are in positions of power desire even more power.  Power that is not utilized correctly breathes nothing but corruption.  When additional power is granted to someone who abuses the power they already have it causes corruption.  Corruption is a brainchild of evil and wickedness which stems from the devil.  Evil and wickedness will lead to judgment.  Power belongs to GOD!

Abuse of power can be seen in all areas of society. Men and women are seeking power from whatever source they can. They trample on whoever is in the way of the journey of  acquiring power They may take a bribe or sell themselves just to achieve power.  At the end of the day, the wickedness of the wicked will catch up with them and God will bring it to an end.  The Word of God does not lie, whatever we sow we are sure to reap.

In Galatians 6:8 it states “For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”  What are the works of the flesh?  “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Galatians 5:19-21It is foolish for anyone in authority to be deceived in thinking that they can abuse their earthly power and God not take note of it and act in His time accordingly.  God neither slumbers nor sleeps and His eyes do not miss a thing.  If God has placed power in your hands, for your own sake and the sake of your children and children’s children, use that power for good.  “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so.”  Proverbs 3:27  If you are in a position of authority in the government, the church, the home, the work place, or any other area of society do not spike others because of bad mind, jealousy, hatred, unforgiveness or other evil motives.

Do not make a child pay because you do not like their parent/s.  Do not withhold a document from somebody because your sister had a run in years ago with her sister.  Do not scandal someone’s good name all because they seem to be progressing and you are going no where in life.  Do not give someone a hard time because they are born here or not born here.  “These six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil,  A false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.”  Proverbs 6:16-19   All who abuse the power and authority given them and use it for ulterior motives, manipulation, control, or to hurt and hinder others are downright wicked and God is sure to bring judgment if they do not repent.

God is a God of justice.  The Bible states in Psalm 37:28 “For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.”   Not only that; those who keep justice are blessed.  “Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times!”  Psalm 106:3

In Psalm 37:35-36 it states “I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a native green tree.  Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.”

If you are in a position of authority in your home, church, government, social organization or any other area in society take heed and do not abuse your power by doing evil and wicked deeds and oppressing others and sowing corruption.  Warning always comes before judgment, beware, take heed and repent.

    @Official

    The minute you decided that in your mind, God’s Holy Spirit took over in you. So continue in the faith, but be patience, courageous and strong. For all of us, God’s surgery in our lives is going to be painful; but His deliverance is manifested through the ecstasy of joy and peace. Those two are the nature of the Spirit, and they last forever. May God bless your Life with His Grace of Love.

    @Simone:

    What makes you think that by commenting on this article you are different, what are you trying to prove. You love your religious dogma that is fine, if other people love commenting on something different than you that is their choice. Your quote “It is scary to see how much this world feeds and thrive on the works of evil. God’s ” isn’t it also scary to see how religion robs people minds from thinking, it is also the most scary thing on the earth that people feed on giving them a false sense of security not knowing the whole truth. Oh your last sentence what a great piece of gibberish.

    Yes! Yes! This teaching is true; but the Truth of it can only be manifested in our attitude and conducts. If people would only try to understand Jesus’ saying, which said: I can of myself do nothing. John 5 30; they would know that God can do mighty works through them, just like He did through His Person of flesh and blood, Jesus Christ.

    Jesus demonstrated the Father’s awesome power and authority, because He humbled Himself, with the down-to-earth nature of obedience to Almighty God, Eternal Spirit, Christ, who lived in Him; as He accepted Himself as a human being, with the nature of weakness. “I can of myself do nothing!!!”

    “I can of myself do nothing.” But believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves”. John 14: 11 In other words, Jesus told His disciples, all of those awesome works that you saw me do, I did by the wisdom, power, authority, and control of the Father, who lives in me as I also live in Him, but for His glory alone.

    As a human being Jesus demonstrated the attitude and conducts of a humble servant. His main purpose was to give the glory to Almighty God, the Father who lived in Him, as He lived in the Father, not to attain honors and medals for Himself. His desire was that mankind would come to believe in a Living God of Holiness, Love, and Truth, that they might surrender their lives to Him, and to receive Eternal Life in return.

    Jesus was able to maintain and demonstrate the authority and power of Almighty God, because He rejected the control of His human mind–a state of pride, arrogance, and haughtiness, which can only nature and respond to evil and wickedness–and He lived and functioned by His mind of Spirit and Truth–which demonstrated Love, the nature of God, Eternal Spirit, who lived in Him. That is the factor that made Jesus different from a regular human being. A Jewish Leader, by the name of Nicodemus, observed that factor in Jesus and he went to Jesus for confirmation. Jesus simply told Nicodemus: “You must be born again” John 3:7

    In other words Jesus told Nicodemus that his nature of flesh and blood is not what God is after. God wants our awakened soul, the person in whom He will be able to establish the attitude and conducts of Love in us. Hence God needs to begin this establishment in us, when we are in the form of Spirit and Truth. This form starts in us as a baby; God wants the new person that you become. “You must be born again of water and the Spirit. That which is born of flesh is flesh, but that which is born of Spirit is spirit”. John 3:5-6

    Unfortunately, no one is reading those messages. We are too busy pretending to be the best of police, lawyer, Judge, and Jury. We are too busy pointing out what is wrong our governments, churches, and other social organizations around us. We are too busy barking like vicious dogs, ready to bite, against all opinions that do not match our own. But then all of that is the work of the flesh. God tells us that this work is weakness or vanity; it all passes away like smoke or thin sand in the wind, because they have no fundamental base or value.

    It is shocking but not surprising to see that two persons including myself commented on this article, but if it was “Beth” or gossip or slandering of someone’s good name hundreds would have commented. It is scary to see how much this world feeds and thrive on the works of evil. God’s human creation really need to take check of thier lives and ask themselves if the way they are living is thier purpose for being in this world. (the bible says be in the world but not off it, for if you are of the world you become and enemy of GOD)

    What a powerful message indeed! That is why i love the GOD we serve indeed he always warns before he acts. Like the message you have brought forward it is GOD using you to warn the people about thier actions before he cast his judgement. GOD is a GOD of plenty chances, but when we disobey his warning/call judgement is sure to come. I pray that GOD continues to use you and your ministry through whatever means necessary to continue shedding light into the dark world.

    Strength and Blessings from above.

    THUMBS UP TO THAT!! I THINK OUR LEADERS ARE TO READ THIS AND PUT IT INTO PRACTICE SO THAT THE COUNTRY WILL MOVE FORWARD. WE NEED GOD FEARING LEADERS WHO PUT GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING THEY ARE ABOUT TO DO. LET THEM LEARN TO RESIST THE DEVIL SO THAT HE WILL FLEE FROM THEM.
