Thanks again for those involved in the keeping the Covid-19 under control. I do have a concern of the weekend SEEWOO in Scott’s Head, is it going to be business usual?
We the elderly deserve to stay safe in our own environment. STOP the night club jam and maskless parties in Scott’s Head!

Do we realize how much strain this puts on the Covid facilities – more than 100 cases daily for the past few days? Did the Hon. MP for Roseau not see this coming when she was promoting the Santa’s Mall heavily? Even if some may have chosen not to go, the Administration must realize that the average man relies on government to set the tone, and if the message from government is – “go out, don’t worry if there are many people in the same place, its ok! After all, it’s Christmas!!! ” – to people who are fed up of the restrictions, this message is readily accepted and followed. NOW, the unit is under pressure… FULL of patients. Nurses are sick, so they are short staffed. Wisdom tells us that we will fall into the pit that we dig. We don’t hear the government talking about the surge at all… and the media only publishes the numbers with no commentary. Bow your head, and close your eyes Dominica. We are blessed with our PM and first family. Life is good.

This virus is spreading like a wild, angry bush fire on a dry, windy day under a clear sky. Seems like it plans to wreak havoc at the turn of the new year.
Again, practice of the non-pharmaceutical measures are of utmost importance.

Is the Omicron variant responsible for this sudden spike in cases in Dominica? Enquiring minds want to know.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 4 Thumb down 4
