Cynthia, described as a “savvy” new artist

A new breed of singers is rapidly appearing on the local music scene. One of these is 26 year old Cynthia from  the Village of  San Sauveur. The savvy new artists are all preparing videos to launch their public personna and their choice of medium for  connecting with fans and potential fans is DNO.

“Push Back de Bumper” is a sexy mid-tempo socaesque number which speaks about a girl going out with her partner to the dance club to enjoy each other’s company; but the girl has to be on the lookout since  the other girls in the club have their eye on her hunky, sexy boyfriend.

Below is the video of Cynthia’s song “Push Back de Bumper”.

  7. LOVE THIS Song

The song is well done. Girl, you have a strong voice. Do not allow criticism to destroy your effort. Dominichen, farmi weychen! You all accept anything from foreign artistes, and now we have a young talented rising star and all you trying to destroy her effort. Shame. Bloody crabs in a barrel. I love the song. Disregard the video and listen to the voice, words, and the tempo. Go ahead give me all kinds of thumbs down for talking the truth.

Nice voice. Nice face but the same crappy lyrics. Always with sexual conotation. No imagination. No writing skill. No poetry.

@welookit – I am noticing a frightening phenomenon among Dominican women especially the teenage girls and young adult women. That phenomenon is called obesity. Alot of them these days are just too fat……way too fat.

Ladies, please take care of all you bodies. There is no reason for women in a country like Dominica to be putting on these gigantic sizes. Come on man. Now I’m not saying y’all should look like scarecrows but after all, y’all should not be desperately trying to take on the shapes of hippopotamuses. I am saying this from a HEALTH point of view.

That is the most ridiculous comment! And here is why. Some people because of genetics are naturally plump and round! So how is it by looking at the ladies you are calling them obese!?
Are you privy to their family background and DNA? Calm yourself, these ladies look active, and yes dancing is a form of physical activity, so let’s not envision how people should try and look but rather embrace all the different appearances!

Cynthia who? Is that all she does? Not even a little background on why they say she savy? Ou man.

come on. its an okay song…but, lets be real here. international level?? lets be real! it need a lot of work

    • wicked people
      May 25, 2014

I would not have commented if I had not seen this comment claiming that this is of international standard. This is not even of local standard, but when you live in a world where triple Koshoni claim to be international or global I guess you can fit this one in the category.

After the fire I must say that there is potential, you at least have the passion and can hold a tone. which is much more than I can ever claim. The video though, who ever filmed that should be shot. You need a choreographer and proper lighting among other things. If it was only for being bold and the enthusiasm I would give you an “A”, but overall I am sad to say that this so called international standard of music released in Dca has fallen so short that I would have to give you the “F” grade.
