Festival and Events Manager of the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA), Nathalie Walsh, has called on the Dominican public to take advantage of the ticket specials for the 23rd Edition of the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) carded for October 27-29, 2023.
“Our regular season ticket is EC$400, at the gate [it] is EC$450, however, there is a special on right now at $375…,” she said. “If you wait until the weekend of the festival, you will pay EC$450 at the gate.”
According to her, this offer is for a limited time only.
Walsh said the nightly price is EC$150 on Friday, October 27, for those who choose to purchase their tickets early, and at the gate, it will be EC$175.
“On Saturday night only, it’s EC$200 and at the gate [it] is EC$250, so again, if you buy your nightly tickets now, you will save EC$50 and then on Sunday [it] is also EC$150 in advance and at the gate [it] is EC$175.”

Walsh also announced that there are the party V.I.P season tickets at EC$1300 and the village V.I.P season tickets at EC$1650.
Tickets can also be purchased at Bullseye Pharmacy in Roseau, Portsmouth, or Grand Bay and at Depex Color Lab in Roseau.
Why are you worried Madam Walsh?? We already know that it’s going to be a huge success, as always. Why are you worried about ticket sales? If things go pear shaped, the CM will order the treasury to purchase all remaining tickets and distribute them to his supporters in an exchange for a promise. It’s been done like that for years. Nothing new at all. Corrupt Dominica!
I’m a Skerrit supporter, do I get my ticket free of charge as usual?
Roosevelt and Melissa should pay the monthly rent of $64 000 from their personal savings for a couple months and that taxpayer’s money should be used to pay some some overworked and underpaid deserving civil servants to attend this event.
This is just a fantasy as Melissa said Dominicans pockets are deep. They have the wherewithal to easily pay for V.I.P events. Laughable!
I think Tourism better quickly get used to the idea that no-one is coming. Fot that rubbish? They get in for free, we all live in a different reality.
Beyond ridiculous. I see that festival slowly moving away from DA. Every year it’s getting worse. Every year the creole getting more veminish and the price going up.
