Although Dominica has started the construction of an international airport, plans are underway for expanding the runway of the island’s current airport, the Douglas Charles Airport.
Speaking at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) Caribbean Travel Marketplace in Barbados, Tourism Minister, Denise Charles said the move will hopefully attract new carriers to Dominica.
“What we are currently doing right now is embarking on a project to expand our runway, so we will be able to attract many other airline partners to the destination like Delta and JetBlue,” she explained, according to Travel Market Report (TMR).
Recently Dominica announced direct flights from Miami by American Airlines and Charles said the success of such a move could give other airlines the nudge to expand flights to the island.
“We are having advanced conversations with many other airlines,” she said. “So hopefully in the near future, we will be having more nonstop service to the destination.”
Meanwhile, CEO of the Discover Dominica Authority, Colin Piper, explained why the need for a new airport and why it is so important for a small country like Dominica. He stated that the wind has been posing problems for planes attempting to land at Douglas Charles Airport.
“For years, landing in Dominica has been a challenge for a lot of aircraft because the wind poses challenges for landing on our current runway,” he was quoted by TMR as saying. “The improvements to the runway and the new airport are both efforts to enable people to land here, enjoy their time here, and not have to be diverted to one of our neighboring islands.”
At the event, Karen Whitt, the regional vice president of the CHTA told TMR that the Caribbean is the fastest-recovering region in the world after the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The recovery has just been phenomenal,” she said. “We are almost back to pre-pandemic levels, but we are just barely shy of 2019, and that’s collectively.”
As a matter of fact, requests for travel have been so high, one of the challenges the Caribbean faces in the second half of 2023 going into 2024 is meeting demand.
This could pose a problem for the Caribbean, according to Whitt. “As it’s been explained to us by the airlines industry, there’s an issue because of the overwhelming demand for travel worldwide,” she said. “So, these planes get diverted, so
there’s a compression, you have less availability for the aircraft to come in, and that drives the prices through the roof because the demand surpasses the supply.”
She added, “We are stressed out about it. We don’t know what the solution is. Obviously, the airlines are the ones who are going to have to figure this out, but this is just as stressful for us as it is for the consumer because a consumer might want to visit your destination, but the prices are too exorbitant and they can’t justify it.”
CHTA’s Caribbean Travel Marketplace is the Caribbean’s largest and most important marketing event. It affords tourism suppliers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with wholesalers from around the world selling Caribbean vacation travel over the course of two days of business meetings.
The 41st edition of the event took place at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Barbados from May 9 to 11, 2023.
What do we really want, a new airport or an upgraded airport or both. Will Dominica be able to sustain two airports? Does Dominica have enough hotel rooms to sustain increased flights? Will new airlines be attracted to Dominica because of two airports, or rather while construction is going on at the existing airport and the new airport?
One thing for sure, Dominica is breaking record for having the most airports in the OECS on a single island and the least stay over visitors, only surpassing Montserrat.
That’s what they should have done to begin with there is nothing wrong with the current airport. If they could lengthen the runway another 2,000 feet that would be fantastic. There is no need for a new airport that is a waste of money the money saved can be used for improvements to the current airport and prime real estate will not be destroyed.
The extra earth and rocks that remains after all the digging up for the international airport can be used to backfill the sea at the end of Melville Hall and extend the Airport runway easily. All the trucks are right there to carry the soil. It’s called killing two birds with one stone.
@Just saying
That’s how he can express himself. He has limited words in his vocabulary, and must revert to his foul tongue. To my surprise some people give him thumbs up!
…and here comes Skerrit with egg all over his face again! Why is this serial liar still in office? Dominica has nothing better to offer? Poor Dominica!
After carefully listening to Sam Raphael today (14th May, 2023), and reading between the lines, it is obvious that the new international airport is the biggest hoax by Lying Roosevelt on the people of Dominica.
This imbecile is so lie that he would lie about lying. The building of a new international airport is a lie about a lie.
“you comes two to a penny go to hell.”
Man-dog, are you sure you did not intend to say people like me comes two for a penny?
Hhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!
The triple doctor who taught you; seems not to recall how that metaphor was quoted, then again when ghost writers resign the person who employs them if they want to continue insulting people they must try to write.
When that happens it exposes the true intelligence of the writer, we can grad you and know if you are elementary kindergarten graduate, or a never went to school!
Ho about that!
@Francisco
Nuisance….
You must be “high”…!!
You are a shameless embarrassment!!
Something is seriously wrong with those who govern this country…is just crap upon crap…auto rubbish…so they are wasting money while the new airport hopefully be built in 15 years ahead…
But what de moda mouse is this.. but why spend money extending runway in Douglass Charles and still building an international Airport just by ????? No something not right …just like they saying a new school coming possie with 12 students….boss peoppe get together for all u to take out those fellas ther from office ..protest action should be activated..all u just goin to have those fellas there and familly getting rich like that man and lieing to all u for 23 years man.??? Afteralll man.. you all deserve a better life and governemnt than that..its a shame
People use to say Dominicans are the nicest people in the Caribbean now I know that was a myth and I had believed it, but now know they either stupid or wicked that so-called UWP and their followers are all thick lips no responsibility no brains.
@Man bite dogs
What a calamity for someone like you, who cannot even construct a proper sentence, to call people stupid!!! OMG!!
You are just SHAMELESS, otherwise you would go bury your empty head in the sand.
Sounds very much like this is a perfect description of yourself. However, I don’t expect any decorum from a man who viciously bites dogs. Wicked and evil.
I think your speaking about yourself
“People use to say Dominicans are the nicest people in the Caribbean”
Man Dog, in case you don’t know stupidity most of the time can be construed as kindness, or being nice. To this day as far as I know the Antiguans term Dominicans “folly” meaning stupid; the Trinidadians, and Bajans do not give us any better complement.
Now let me show you how stupid our people are: In the second world war, the United States and Great Britain, decided to build Air Bases on the islands of Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, Guantanamo Cuba, Trinidad, Guyana, formally British Guiana, in an effort to neutralize Hitlers Submarines that was wreaking havoc in the Eastern Caribbean destroying Merchants Ships.
The only people who objected to the building of the airports on their island are our stupid people Dominicans!
And the reason for our objection, was that they did not want any Americans in Dominica, because if they come they would rape our women, and insert pint bottles into them.
Cont:
In spite of our stupid notion, the British started construction on a Airport precisely where Melville Airport is located; in the process of building it our people, workers, and people in legislative positions procrastinated, they found some way to prevent it from building.
One of the methods used was to thief (steal) the money, hence work was on and off. By the time the war ended in 1944, the Airports on all the other islands were completed except Dominica.
The one’s on all the islands mentioned are developed into International Airports, the one in Cuba is still owned and operated by the United States, as Roosevelt keep lying about the building of an Airport costing over a billion dollars!
Guy nice?
Our people were never nice people, but stupid as we come.
Only stupid people would allow one man to destroy a nation because he gives them a few dollars every five years.
This man has taken Wesley gave it to Chines, and nobody gets killed yet, that is stupidity!
A riot is…
Meanwhile the destruction and devastation from Palmtree through Wesley all the way to Cabana Beach continues unabated. Shady schemes have already destroyed so much of sweet Dominica. Extend the Melville Hall Airport runway and be done with it!
“Extend the Melville Hall Airport runway and be done with it!”
Don’t misunderstand the point I made Fact is Dominica do have the need for an International Airport, and it matters not how much longer they make it that will not constitute an International Airport
Lengthening without widening is useless.
An International Airport is a vitally important part of a nation infrastructure; one cannot talk development in Dominica, without tourism, keep in mind that a few tourist visiting the island for eight hours in a day does not help the economy that much.
An International Airport will bring more tourist to the island to vacation for at least five or ten days which is the normal period even I spends on vacation when I vacation in Canada.
Within ten days a single tourist can spend thousand of dollars on the island in comparisons to one who only spend four hours off a ship in an eight hour period.
The International will be a good thing, what’s bad is what Roosevelt has done…
They can build the world’s greatest airport. The problem is getting people that want to come to DA.
Why no talk of this in the government?
While we criticize; we have to be realistic also; if our dependency is somewhat on tourism; unless one advertise the country, and present something that will cause visitors to want to visit the country, then the efforts of Building an International Airport will not worth it.
I however, never encounter places where an International Airport remains dormant, or inoperative.
And so I think in scientific terms of the push and pull theory relating to motivation which is, figuratively, a powerful force that can come from two directions; can be examine and compare: the differences between the push and pull theories.
If you advertise and show people the benefits of vacationing in Dominica they will visit; nevertheless to keep on talking this bunch of bull about nature island, which denotes primitiveness, and backwardness; that will be the push, that will keep people away okay!
Without some modern hotels, nightlife and people begging tourist for money like hungry dogs there will be success.
There are (2) two issues I would like addressed. (i) what is the cost for the extension of the Charles/Douglas airport. (ii) If here is a problem of wild at the existing Charles/Douglas airport which make it more difficult for landing as stated by Mr. Piper CEO for Discovery Dominica, the new airport is being built about 2 miles to the north of Charles/Douglas airport, would there also be problems of the wind.
Different runway headings could be a solution for that
The important question here is how Douglas Charles is going to be extended. From my observations there is no room on the eastern end unless you go into the sea and on the western end there is a river an let us not forget a mountain range.
We is wesley /wooty are CONFUSED!! Are w not getting an Interbnational airport? So why waste more money ….
You might get a Chinese development instead. How about that.
Did you not read the article?
Proof that the international Airport is a phantom project.
How about increasing the effort around target marketing (eco-tourism, etc.) to increase stayover visitors. Dominica as a destination needs to be able to consistently (daily) fill a 76 seat American Eagle flight from Miami. We can’t truly entertain additional carriers from the US to Dominica without first increasing overall traffic to the island.
TBH target marketing is only useful if you have completely understood the target market. The “why when how where who” needs to be asked of them and how they spend their money. Then WE in dominica need to adequately position ourself to provide what it is they want, when, why, how etc in order to satisfactorily provide that service to ensure that their needs and wants have been met. This is actual marketing. not just putting advertisements in peoples face. Because twhen they come to your home, and they receive less than sub par treatment, do you think they will want to see another advertisement about your home that didnt meet their requirements?
Where can a tourist (EVEN IN ROSEAU) get a proper meal after 10pm? that question alone will tell you the state of tourism in Dominica. And if we cannot address these simple problems then we are not ready. Im not even going to talk about getting gas past 9pm island wide. Or the lack of working ATMS. Or supermarkets closing at a certain…
This announcement, leaves me wondering what brought it about. Could it be that the final results of the “afterthought” geotechnical survey for the new airport was unfavourable? In January the Prime Minister stated:
“Geotechnical studies are nearing completion…All of the studies for earth movement have been completed with some variations because of the wetness of the soil…There is more humidity in the soil than we anticipated…The final designs are nearing completion because we have to keep making changes.”
One would have expected geotechnical studies to be first on the agenda. But the government appears to have an aversion for such prerequisites. My report “Antrim Alert”, recently submitted to government, begins with the words:
“If a geotechnical assessment had been made of the land alongside the road at Antrim, before dumping millions of tons of spoil from Red Gully, one of the biggest civil engineering blunders in the history of the Caribbean could have been avoided.
Geotechnical study result will dictate soil treatment if any has to be done, it is highly unlikely that the result of Geotechnical studies can stop the construction of this airport. Japan dumped dirt in the ocean to build an international airport.
That is assuming the site is not riddled with underground water courses, as was found to be the case at Antrim. Those familiar with the Imperial Highway know that no amount of compacted tarish has stabilized the road.
Anyone ever heard about the cape to cairo railway. The result of it was apartheid, and something similar will happen in wesley. Black people never seem to learn. The Chinese will soon stop people from going to Woodfordhill beach.
The problem is not enough people are agree about being taken for fools. Does it make sense to you that an airport is going to built just about one mile away from Douglas-Charles and we are going to spend scarce funds on upgrading that airport? I would be naive or even stupid to ask the government to stop lying to us, so I asking the people to stop this government from lying to us.
I must be missing something. This makes no sense to me at all. What on earth is going on?
I hope those who had their heads stuffed full with the talk of an international airport being completed in 2025 by Skerritt now realize that this was lipstick on a pig talk. Piper said that cross winds are a problem at Melville Hall, in addition to the short length of the runway. Even if the runway is lengthened there isn’t anything which the lying regime can do to determine the direction of the winds. Why spend money on doing expensive and extensive work on Melville Hall when the nation is awaiting 2025 completion of Skerrits ‘s airport. I’m sure there are many more important things that the country needs for development like a cruise terminal at Canefield etc , where this money could be spent. The liars have been found out like the emperor who had no clothes.
A joke. Dominica must have some serious economic growth. New airport, extend old airport, geothermal drilling, new power plant and transmission, hotels galore, new hospital and countless health centers and the list goes on. Yet we have more people begging and on welfare and a government ran NEP. You cannot make that up. It takes a special breed of con to pull that off.
Say what all you want to say – All you make all you bed; so sleep in it irrespective of the bedbugs, ants, cockroach and parasites. The train has long left the station and it’s full throttle ahead. Nothing will stop that train. It’s a train to nowhere.
Now I am convinced Dominica is its own Planet.
This lady has more hair than brain. Fashion over substance!
Don’t make it personal. Keep it above the belt
Does this make any sense b,who are your technical advisors,an international airport is being constructed, and hopefully to be completed within the next four years and now you coming up with this expansion of runway ,are you all planning and preparing you speeches before presenting them .
Question: What is the value of the current airport? Secondly, what is the cost for the extension of runway at Melville Hall Airport?…..Any cost above 10% of the current value of airport to extent the runway should not be entertained.
This information is crucial to determine whether this should be done, knowing the GOVT claimed to have started construction on the new airport.
Only if the GOVT has no genuine intention to build an INTL airport and have other plans for the lands taken from folks under the pretense of a New Airport.
( Note: We know large construction projects are used by corrupt GOVT to launder MONIES……which they never finish)
So are they planning to have 3 airports on island? What is the purpose of investing more money in melville hall , when a new airport is supposedly in the works?
“What is the purpose of investing more money in melville hall, when a new airport is supposedly in the works?” A relevant question that gets to the heart of the dilemma that the government is likely facing. The new airport will not be up and running for four years (or thereabout). Can we afford not to seek to expand Tourism and boost our economy for the next four years, or more?
What are you waffling about? Your super hero Skerrit told us as recent as begin of this year that the new airport would be operational in 2025. Who is lying now, the Peeper or the CM or perhaps both? I leave it to you all to decide. No doubt some of the die hards like Dog, Clown and D unce S oul will tell us it’s all UWP fault.
Batibou, what really amazes me why’s it you guys have all the questions and answers yet still none of you can’t master Pm. Skerrit with anything not even general elections ha ha ha
super filthy mouths .
Wouldnt it take the 4 yrs or more to extend the runway at melville hall ,so why not just invest the money and effort into the runway for the new airport?
Agreed. I also think that money wasted on extending runway at Douglas, Charles airport can be used in converting the site into an industrial zone once the new airport is up and running. The site can be handed over to developers to construct factory units, storage and modern business spaces that can attract both local entrepreneurs and overseas investors who might be able to utilise the international airport to get their products manufactured here, easily onto the international markets. The site can also be designated as a low tax industrial and business zone as an incentive to encourage potential investors. Dominicans will benefit from many employment opportunities created as a result.
More pie in the sky by one of Skerrits fans. How about another hotel, how about another coffee factory or another abattoir, or a state of the art cruise ship terminal or perhaps a new city modelled on the stink hole by the name of Roseau. Man, stop dreaming and get out of here.
A Golf Course with a couple hotels would bring much more Foreign $$$s!!
Con:
Mind you civil servants are going unpaid; salaries are not paid on time; blood cannot be drawn from patients in the hospital, all due to no vacutainers (blood bottles), that is an essential.
So, if as simple as that the government does not have the resources to purchase such essentials, how can you try to impress people that you are going to extend Melville Hall Airport Runway, while simultaneously building an International Airport?
Are you not ashamed to lie in public as you do?
Forgotten Dominica is the poorest of all.
Another thing, you can lift your head as high, and cringe you lips as you speak, with your wig on your head, it will not make you different from the way God formed you; that is your true nature.
Take a page out of that Baron girl who before yo was a wig-queen, I saw a photpgraph of her recently with her natural head of hair, she looks way better with her natural head of hair.
Take that crap off your head and look like a natural woman, right now you are…
Francisco, You are a sad lying old b*****d keep your dam opinions to yourself, people like you comes two to a penny go to hell.
Okay, you can curse me until you fall on your face, I could care less, because none of your words can touch a single vine in my body eh!
The fat is I will keep on plugging away, by exposing the lies of Roosevelt Skerrit, and his girlfriends such as the liar Denise, and all the acolytes, liars following him!
Like it or not Man-human-dog; you are getting the truth from me; period!
Now you don’t like it but the truth will hang Roosevelt sooner or later!
All you supporters of Roosevelt are blind liars!
Tell me Mr. Dog!
What sense it makes to be building an International Airport less than three miles North of the existing municipal Airport, and the poorest government on earth is simultaneously lengthen the old one: cant you see something is crazy bout that lie?
Where are your eyes, and commonsense boy?
You sold them to Roosevelt Skerrit too, or a certain Prime Minister a doctor thie… them from you?
For how long have you all known that? How long has Labour party been in government? All of a sudden there is desperation to try and quick fix all the real development that was neglected for personal enrichment instead of developing the country. I wish you all good luck with that. Thanks to Skerrit backward thinking, it is already too late for Dominica. Poor…
This wanton waste of scarce, financial resources is what you get when you have a scandal plagued, personalist dictatorship in power, with a specialist of lies at its helm.
Unless the people of Dominica come together and flex their power, by ridding the country of this feeble minded, corrupt, thoughtless buffoon from local politics, Dominica will continue to be a laughing stock of the world.
Also, the vast majority of Dominicans will continue to live in extreme poverty for the foreseeable future. Even Dominicans, yet unborn, will suffer generational pauperism.
lbo, that woman is just another puppet liar, of Roosevelt Skerrit; if it is true they are building an International Airport, what sense would it make to lengthen an existing municipal airport that when it rains, it floods out with both river and sea water?
The way they a pretending is as if Dominica is the richest place on the planet!
We do not have any industries; we import everything, and export nothing which yells revenue into the Treasury, our major product is the sale of our national passports.
You put the Wig-head on a podium in front of a handful of people, and her lies starts flying!
That’s what that is all about okay!
Francisco you are most accurate. The long, false hair lady just ensures that she pleases an audience of one.
I boy change her name to wig-head oui!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!
Don’t bad talk my former girlfriend. I like that wig on her head.
D unce S oul, that one is way out of your league. Probably Madam Pampalam you are talking about. But again, it show your true character. You and Skerrit well suited.
You are better than that IBO…. Why attack the Politician personally. Very distasteful. Even if she wears her hair right down on her Pampalam.. or her butt have nothing to do with her intellect. I can see other attacks from illiterate people but not you. It ushers in a taste of Donald Trump…. it takes from all your beautiful narrative. She looks better intellectually than all you all with big brains… Stop it.. Really looks bad Thats more of a personal war against her weave…..
They are not scarce they are just in other peoples hands
” Marketplace in Barbados, Tourism Minister, Denise Charles said the move will hopefully attract new carriers to Dominica.”
A pile of rubbish spoken by the wig-head!
Lengthening of an airport does not necessarily attract more aircraft’s to a certain destination?
The only purpose one would need to lengthen an Runway is if the length is needed to accommodate the distance it takes some aircraft to run before lift off, or if they need to abort a flight if they had already went into truckle-position, or may require a longer distance to stop on landing.
The volume (amount of people traveling to a destination is what attracts commercial aircraft’s. Now wig-head what you are saying makes absolutely no sense; if it is true as you claimed that you people have started building an International Airport, only a fool would take you garbage seriously.
Mind you civil servants are going unpaid blood cannot be drawn
Were you born by a woman? Do you have sisters? Why crushing a woman with what she wear on her head. She is in the company of many. Stop 🛑 cease and desist Old Troll. Shame on you boy.
If you are talking to me; be informed my grandmother was born of a black Carib mother, her sister: that boy Lois Robinson grandmother were sisters; though Black, they had very long silky black hair, because they carried the recessive gen; however they never let their hair grow to shoulder length.
They were not craving want to be long hair black women; perhaps they knew how warring wigs makes women head stink!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!
Put one on your head for one day and experience the sweet, then the snitch that follows.
Cease and desist, is a new term you learn from a page on DNO where your silly self learn of the Bassets letter of that nature to Gaston Brown!
Why don’t you shut up?
My sisters dead and alive none craved long hair, they are all, and were, all natural. I might be an old troll, but one with a name you are a young troll who is a nobody without a name, scum of the earth you are!
Shut up!
I don’t know what you are talking about DNO… All I am saying this is shameful. Good for your family they were born with different genes if that’s what you mean… You said this. :’recessive gen;
Glad your family had hair down their tail pipe. She wants to wear wig so what? attack her elsewhere not on her head. Try to get inside the head instead… You seem like you are more into the exterior than the interior…. You go back to Google……
@ Just Saying, you got the b*****d right on his dirty little b***s and it hurts.
I smell a rat! I’ve always said that the new airport was pie in the sky, only existing in Skerrits sick mind.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahah!
I smelling the little rat all the way here in Los Angeles; okay!
Commonsense dictates that if you are building an International Airport less than two males away, what sense will it make to lengthen the old one; when in fact it is the slowest municipal airport in the Caribbean all due to a lack of travelers to the island.
Not even idiota are fooled all the time!
People can forget about international airport now as this was the plan all along to upgrade melville hall airport. You think they will build a new airport after spending all this money upgrading melville hall?
I dont think so
So it’s true that all that prime land in Wesley was bought for the Chinese. I knew right from the beginning that something was very fishy about this Airport because our country can’t afford it. It just served as Skerrits election propaganda and the truth about the land grab. Why is this lying CM still in charge.
That’s the kind of foolishness you spew to labourites who swallow it lock stock and barrel, no questions asked. That’s my FOURTH time saying it. Tourism will go nowhere with this lady as tourism minister.
Before talking about Melvillehall airport, go give Roseau a face lift Denise Charles. Spruce up Roseau Denise. It is smelling pee pee, broken sidewalks, uneven sidewalks caused me to kick a stone, and burst my new shoe, Roseau is dilapidated and unwelcoming, tourists have to walk on the main road to avoid the sidewalks, old dilapidated buildings still exists, dog sh.. too. Nothing endearing to the visitor in the main city…You talking tourism? You should be dismissed for sloppy and lazy work!!!
Wow such truth. The old city needs a face lift. The old buildings in the city. It smells. The dogs running up and down. The doo Doo. Men strong Pee pee smell. Nasty city. We don’t need international airport. They can remodel what they got. The same fly that come from the waste outside comes inside of Kentucky. Please do something with that smelly city.
So whats the purpose of building an international airport then if they are planning to extend the runway at Melville Hall? Will the airport even be used after the international airport is built?
The international airport only exists in Skerrits mind. When do all you get that?
One is for Francisco Telemakak to land on if he is in a hurry to get to Wesley and he is suffering from Claustrophobia and the other one is for Francisco to land on if he has taken his medicine and can travel an hour longer.lol.
If AA is having trouble filling a 76 seater plane from Miami, what makes the government think another airline will be interested in committing resources to a place with minimal demand?
All it would do is cannibalize the little business that AA has, drive down the ticket price which will cause both airlines to get out of that market. Or they will demand guaranteed load revenue from the government to maintain the service.
I have done a lot of travelling over the past year and bar none, every aircraft I have been on has been full.
“Where shall I begin, please your Majesty?” he asked.
“Begin at the beginning,” the King said gravely, “and go on till you come to the end: then stop.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass
“Meanwhile, CEO of the Discover Dominica Authority, Colin Piper, explained why the need for a new airport and why it is so important for a small country like Dominica. He stated that the wind has been posing problems for planes attempting to land at Douglas Charles Airport…..”
Lord hear us, Lord graciously hear us!
“He stated that the wind has been posing problems for planes attempting to land at Douglas Charles Airport….”
I can tell you right now Piper is a confounded liar!
There has never been a problem with wind-share in regards to aircraft’s landing and take off at Melville Hall Airport from its inception in the year 1961! From its inception we saw aircraft’s take off from the West, to the East, occasionally the wind change blowing from the east to the West, and so they would takeoff from East to West.
However there was never a problem with wind-share as it is constant at Canefield Airport, and that is why even LIAT refused to fly into and out of Cane-field.
Piper is Dominica’s, biggest joke; he is the same guy who claimed he was going to Nevis to get help in getting more flights into and out of Dominica, a small island dependent of St. Kitts.
Poor fellow!
