Dominican, Samirah Joseph, has emerged winner in the first annual Miss Caribbean USA, Boston, MA Beauty Pageant held on the weekend.
She outperformed five other contestants representing Grenada, Honduras, Haiti and two from Trinidad to take home the crown.
She wowed the crowd in the first round, Cultural Wear, as she gracefully commanded the stage wearing her Wob Dwiyet. For talent, she gave a taste of the Caribbean by playing popular reggae, calypso, soca and cadence choices on her flute.
Other appearances were in swim wear and evening wear.
Miss Grenada was the first runner up while the second runner up position went to one of the representatives from Trinidad.
Joseph is a former Miss Dominica Teenage Pageant Queen (2006) and Miss Monroe College (New Rochelle, NY) Queen (2011). She is the daughter of Syra Lloyd and Michael Joseph and niece of Mamah Joseph.
The show was held at the Media Arts Center, Roxbury Community College, Boston, MA.
It took one pea to make the king’s bed uncomfortable for him to take his pleasure rest

She has graduated from university already,with 1st class honors. She also carried the Dominican flag at her graduation. I think its safe to say that she has and still is learning quite well. Her parents divorce has nothing to do with her life as a beautiful, talented and intelligent young woman. Soooooo with that said. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!
