Photo depicts tourist tram in the streets of Roseau by Anonymous
Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.
Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.
Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.
Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy
I was actually taken aback one lunchtime while using the stadium bridge that links Bath Road in Roseau Central with Rose Street in Goodwill, and actually witnessed a guided tour in progress close to the exit of the parking lane.
After lunch I drove back to the same area to access Roseau Central and there it hit me and came to realize the unique opportunity this road has offered stakeholders such as our local tour operators.
I am sure when this project was conceptualized that such an anticipated impact may not have been thought of then!!
To the Prime Minister and his Cabinet Team as well as the team of technical officers I say thank you for such a project.
I would like to suggest that for future projects all over the island, Government through the GIS Service and other media sell the idea to the population on the main deliverables of these projects as well as the likely spinoffs/opportunities that the many stakeholders can exploit and further improve their businesses profitability and employment capacity towards helping to build a strong Nation.
The train is a cool idea. But does it have to be so freaking slow and hold up traffic every day? DAMN. Supercharge that thing.

At first when I saw this I felt, what was a Grenadian photo doing on the photo of the day, but when i looked closer I started making out our streets. Cool idea. I was puzzled because there is one in Grenada, same colour, style and all that does the same thing and you know all these countries look alike in some way.
u like tram and its only for the tourist.i really would like to ask WHY?

Very cool!!! That’s different..But what is in the city to see anyways?The only thing i can think of is the stadium and the Gardens..
Since we tourists are being driven in the city we should more than ever before keep the streets clean and tidy..Properly dispose of garbage..
sidewalks should be constructed!! dilapidated buildings in the city should be renovated or demolished!
In other words Roseau just need to be uplifted and make it look like the CAPITAL CITY!
BTW I AM NOT BEING NEGATIVE SO DON’T TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY!!

Why kit should’nt you say something good about dominica?My first impression when i saw the photo was wow i could’nt beleive it was roseau until i recognize the area on Independence Street its not about what that should be and what should’nt. You all dont realize that you are only hurting dominica.If Dominica could of Talk i wonder what she would say.
