PHOTO OF THE DAY: Dominica’s sky scraper?

Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.

Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.

Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.

    this is truly a great picture —- we have the tallest building in dominica being referenced as a sky scrapper because it is truly —in the context of dominica — and yet you all negativity wants to damper such a wonderful picture with midiocrity ama loving it

    @DomCan: Hi DomCan, i don’t know why the idiots put thumbs down for you – can’t they tell you are not in Dominica? Well the Financial Centre is just across from the Ministry. The ministry/gov’t headquarters is still there and still in use. The Financial Centre houses offices to do with Finance, so that section has moved from Gov’t Headquarters. The financial centre is not that tall – just the view from below looking up.

    Great angle, good shot. You need to adjust your exposure because the sky is washed out and that causes the top of the building to blend into the background. Once again, good work.

    Sky scraper? This names throws it off. Just say something like “Financial Center in Dominica.” The remarks would be more positive. Most of us know what a sky scraper looks like. Nice pic though.
