Dunno about the fish, but the FISHERMAN looking welll sexy to me.
Beautiful picture. How much per kilo, for this fish. I hope they made some money.
DNO I missed the point about ‘not for the faint hearted’ in your caption???????
Ok, this does not look like a Marlin to me. Looks like a “Dohwad” to me..Like Ginno said, a dolpinfish (Mahi Mahi)
This is a marlin with its spear cut off. Also known as a mer balaw. (balaw mother). An endangered species which though edible can lead to fish poisoning.
You guys make me feel so home sick. Some fresh fish in a broth would go down good. That is not mahi mahi.
The fisherman does not live at the back of the complex. He use there but he move to chance. Some of us just like to blog with no sense.
I dont like to see all that blood in the sea. Ugh!
I think the fishermen should sell their fresh fish by the sea if they can on a clean board as this one. Nothing like fresh fish. That’s one of the things that make dominicans healthy. Only go to the fish complex if they need to freeze it because sale is slow.
yum Yum
Bleu marlin i did not know they still catch them in dominica, i recall as a boy my uncle from pte michel use to go out and catch those, i havent seen those in a very long time.
Good catch , and good picture thanks to D.N.O and the photograper.

Amen to that comrade.Just add a little bello pepper sauce to that and what it cost penticost pay it.
That look more like a dolphinfish (mahi mahi) to me!
No it is not a dolphin.
Dolphin head is flat
shame on the fishermen who continue to place fish down on the beach for sale. There is a beautiful Complex provided for that service. People when you see this thing DO NOT PURCHASE THE FISH!
The fisherman was going to cut the fish and carry it to the van to take to the complex, that is why the gentleman in the blue was waiting to help; he was not going to sell it at the spot the picture was taken. The fish was on a board.
You lie because that fisherman living right behind the complex
This is my bro in the pic, hi glen
OH please stop it. The men have the fish on a board where you see it on ground? Lass blajeh pawol enitil
you blind
nonsens thats ourculture.
So even if is down by the beach the fish is, what happen to it, its on a board, is not in the stone and sand he have it, what make you think buying it in the complex is so much safer, sa yeux pa voir ….. allu no the rest, and as the description of the photo says ” Preparing a Marlin for sale” not selling fish
i will be needing 10 lbs please
You not seeing the size of a fish head on the side there…that is what you call a pwason!
