Anonymous I don’t know how old U are but the bridge in it self is ridiculous. I haven’t seen it in person but I can tell U, who ever allowed the Chinese to build that bridge has fowl brain. Any body around in 1979 during Hurricane David and saw the sea I saw would know that bridge is a waste, plus when the river comes down all the bridge will be doing it blocking debrie that is going to the sea. It is way to low close to the water for one thing. We saw it happen before with the old bridge and it will happen with this one. The Chinese build this bridge so they can have an easier way out of town when Dominicans raise in their asses and they have to run to Melville Hall.
All that said and you havent seen the bridge as yet….
I am grateful for the bridge being constructed there, but I still feel that a more intense study should have been done to establish some sort of yacht mariner or mooring inside of the town. Dredge the river and allow the sea to occupy more of the area and make some side walks or whatever it may be called to allow yachts to enter there and tie up.
what does this have to do with the photograph?
In a fast flowing river that overflows it’s banks when one least expects. Your idea is so great. WAW
thats a nice gesture but too late because they wont break down the bridge now
actaully what you are referring to is a marina or boatyard, where boats can be put on a dry dock and be rebuilt, not a bad idea, but this has to done in a more isolated area, somewhere like portsmouth, indian river for example, not roseau it would not look good,if you catch my drift.
OH OK! Roseau..
Nice!! Where is this?
