IS THAT A GOAT AND A DOG? OR TWO DOGS?
Yah this is the DA i know and love and vow never to leave again!!
WOW!!! Absolutely breathtaking!!!!
One can never take a setting like this for granted. Look at that rainbow! and the shadow rainbow..and the verdant mountain range… and the dogs…wonder what they are discussing…
A lovely setting, although some landscaping of the yard would have made for an even better scenery.
Why did I ever leave my beautiful country.
@ D.A. Massive
You make me laugh. Many of us are making the identical statement and saying, “If only we knew”. As the words of the song, Que Sera, Sera, the future’s not ours to see. We do have our reasons why we migrated. However, God who knows more than we do and who directs our path, has his reasons why we migrated.
As also the words of the calypso of Mighty Sparrow, “You never miss the water ’til the well run dry.
At the same time we did not then fully appreciate our beautiful country. We left to seek greener pastures and realized that the grass is not always greener on the other side. We did have the greener pastures right in Dominica but were not oblivious of it. It may be too that some of us were younger.
For some of us, the opportunity was there and we did not give it a thought otherwise but embraced it.
When we set up roots and settle in another country it is not always easy and simple to uproot everything. There are some matters which need to be taken into consideration.
Nevertheless, it is an experience to be taken positively as we admire the beauty of Dominica and what it has to offer as we hope to return on vacation and also some Dominicans for good someday.
Note non-Dominicans who have made Dominica their home and are doing very well.
Home is where the heart is. Hopefully, someday, if the Good Lord wills, you and some of us will return for good.
Our overseas experience and expertise should serve us well in Dominica that we may be able to offer them to Dominica, to help make it a better, happier and safe place to live.
Dominica really has much good to offer. Nothing comes easy without effort, hard work and perseverance amidst any obstacles and struggles.
God bless Dominica, its residents and all of us who are abroad and who yearn to visit and/or return. We can call ourselves patriotic Dominicans. Even from afar we could do much good to our home and native land, Dominica.
For now we will settle for visits and those beautiful pictures which DNO post. They are greatly appreciated. This is more than enough to make us envious and yearn to return. They keep the warmth and vision of Dominica with those beautiful pictures embedded in us. Let us keep up the spirit.
God bless!
